Hi,
First of all I want to say that I do not want to sound like a fanboy...
So, the PS3 has finally launched in the UK. I hear that the people that queued up for the midnight release got free LCD HDTV's. Is this Sony rewarding the loyalty of its customers or are they trying to get its console some publicity? To be honest, I don't really care because I am completely happy with one console, but I reckon its a mixture of the two. Firstly because you have to be quite loyal to buy it on launch day at its price, but also because of the bad press its been getting lately they have tried to make something out of it. Finally, its good to hear that nobody got attacked for a console.

So you would spend 600 some dollars for a ripped system?
The things I don't like about sony are already obvious. Like the publicity thing, and how the PS3 is one massive rip from the 360.
The online home thing is orginial but that can raise so many problems, especially with the 40 year perves (new windows for them Sony, don't you feel proud?). Also the Hall of Acheivements, wtf? A place to house your gaming acheivements....hmm now were have I seen that before.
Also the fact that Sony lost Devil May Cry 4 and Virtua Fighter 5, two major Sony Exclusives now multi-platform. Also since God of War 2 is of the PS2, whats up with that?
But yea I can't keep bashing Sony, they revolutionized the gaming industry as we know today. But the PS3 seems like nothing, they may have glory once MGS4 and Grand Tourismo come out. But two games can't compare to already expected blockbuster hits such as Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War 2.
The PS3 is quickly becoming a major flopped system.

Actually, I agree rebel punk. Some of the "features" are blatant rip offs of other consoles best features such as the hall of achievements and the sixaxis controller.
