âItâs the first baby in eighteen yearsâ¦â
Just watched this awesome movie, Children of Men, which according to me would fall in to the genreâs of drama, thriller. The movie takes you to 2027 where humans have not been able to give birth for the last eighteen years. The movie starts off where Theodore Faron played by Clive Owen enters a coffee shop and the news is on announcing the death of the youngest person on earth Buenos Aires, who was 18 at the time he died. The movie continues to an even that would change Theoâs life, which is to take a young pregnant woman to the English border.
The reason I like this movie so much is for its ability to take the viewer in to the movie through its cinematography. I loved how they made you see things the way Theo saw them and the great effect such as the gun fire. The director has paid attention to great detail in the movie, such as incidents happening in the background of the scene while the main story is going on. Great acting by Clive Owen who performed in the movies Arthur and The Inside Man. He did well when presenting the feelings going through Theoâs head during the incidents in the movie.
Children of Men was nominated for film editing, writing (adapted screenplay) and cinematography at the 79th Annual Academy Awards in 2007.
