Sooooooooooo, how are my favorite Tv.commers on this Memorial Day? I am doing okay I guess. Busy little Bee I am right now; I am spending this Memorial Day at work. I mean someone has to provide 'entertainment' for those BBQ'ers and pick-nick'ers.
As I have learned to accept here at Tv.com...change is a harsh fact of life. So it seems no better time than now to have the ever dreaded 'change' filter into my work place. At least I have control over this change.
Commercial utilities had a 17% increase in electric/water in the town I live in. In the heat of the summer my electric bill hits $1200.00 +/- a month. So in order to try to keep beer and liquor prices where they are, we decided to try to make the inside more energy efficient.
We literally raised the roof over the cooler. We expect this to allow better air circulation around the cooler thus allowing it to not work as hard. If I can keep my electric bill where it was, that will mean we haven't raised our cost which will keep prices stable. So far it seems to be working as we already have the air conditioner running to keep the cooler doors from fogging up.
Since we did the ceiling we thought we could increase our product line also. So I spent today dusting bottles and shelves to make room. Nothing like taking from Peter to pay Paul I tell ya. I did manage to free up an entire 4 foot section of room. HELLO new products.
Do I have anything else...ummmm yeah...but I will wait till next time. So we shall wrap up this blog. Thanks for stopping.
Later Taters!!

You might want to take a serious look into solar panels on your roof. While there is an initial cost involved, the savings on your electicity bill can be as much as 85%. I don't know if you catch the show or not, but I had just finished adding Holmes in New Orleans to TV.com. When Mike and his crew finished rebuilding Gloria's house in the Lower Ninth Ward, her air conditioning was running on all three floors, all the lights in the house were on, the appliances were running...and her meter was running BACKWARDS. She went from paying over $700 per month on average to less than $70. During some months, she finishes with a credit balance because her house feeds more power back into the grid than it uses.
Look into it. It may be something that you and the family might really want to consider. There may even be government assistance programs for the initial installation costs.

NEWBIE!! Yeah me too!! Curl up away...can you suggestive sell while you are at it?
lol
MARI!! Hey friend, how are you? Yeah they tell me I have cold beer and that is why they shop here. Although a wind turbine isn't a bad idea. I wonder if there is a city ordinance against it.
HOEECH!! This is something I might consider. I hadn't thought of it. I will do some digging and see what I can come up with. During the winter months we are looking into putting a converter, which would take the outside air and cool the cooler with it. You set it to switch over after the outside temperature drops below 32 degrees. Would save electricity in the winter months for sure.
One thing about business, you gotta spend money to make money. There is always an initial cost upfront...but dropping my overhead is always a high priority.

Stef how's it been? So, I was reading your About Me -- and whoa, your kids are so old now! I remember back when we all used to blog all the time, your kids were so little. Crazy stuff. So do you still watch Medium? Did you see the finale? It was GREAT. And I'm so glad the show is moving to CBS.
Cya around!
