It seems like if one developer has been making more noise than all of the rest lately, it has to be Capcom. First came the initially-surprising-but-oh-wait-this-makes-total-sense news that Monster Hunter 3, which was in development as a PS3 exclusive, is now a Wii exclusive. In just the past few days, Capcom has announced both a new Bionic Commando and Street Fighter IV, both of which has the oldschool fans drooling, if hesitant. What could they possibly announce next?

Another one for the obvious column: Capcom is making a version of Okami for the Wii. Given that the game sold so poorly on the PS2, it's good to see them giving it another chance, especially on a console with the potential to make the brush-stroke mechanics even more interesting and intuitive.

Now Capcom, how about a new Dark Stalkers with an actual redrawn Morrigan sprite set? Or at the very least, a version of Dead Rising with text I can read on my SDTV without going blind?

"with text I can read on my SDTV without going blind"
Big issue for me, too. Not exactly in this game but for example the Bladestorm demo - even if Ioved the gameplay I couldn't buy this game because I love my eyes more.

I'm excited if Streetfighter IV can live up to hype - I hope so. I'd buy it.

I'm skeptical about how Okami will turn out on the Wii, honestly. Clover got to choose between going for the Wii or the PS2, and they chose the PS2 because the controls were a lot more precise, and the Wii was too unresponsive for their tastes. If a developer says that the Wii controls were worse, how will a new developer that didn't even work on the game shoehorn motion controls into a game that's not designed around them and make it better?

I hope the game gets more sales, as it's great, but will a motion gimmick cause the game to sell a lot when it bombed on the PS2's huge install base? Logic says no, the lack of compelling Wii titles says maybe. Also, will the wildly unpopular art style (from America's point of view, which was cited as a major reason for its lack of sales) suddenly get more appreciated on a new console?

Where did you hear about the decision between PS2 and Wii? That's not something I had ever heard about before.

str1, I'm looking for the article, which I'm sure I read but I can't remember the site. It may have been from a less reputable source now that I'm searching, as I'm finding mention in interviews at sites like 1up that the Wii wasn't completed enough to develop for when the game was being designed. The mention is that the remote would be neat for the brush, but he questions the controller for the action adventure portions of the game. Still, I know I read somewhere that they had the chance to shift development but went against it, and now I'M curious where I read that. I'll continue to search for it, but I'll be out of town the next two days and it's possible the story poofed from said site.

Anyway, it seems Ready at Dawn is handling the port, which certainly boosts my confidence in the controls.
