Aqua is an original and talented musical group. Formed in 1989, the group is Danish except for one member who is Norwegian. The band is made up of 4 members. Lene Nystrøm, René Dif, Søren Rasted, and Claus Norreen. Lene Nystrom is the Norwegian. The group is better remembered for its popular song "Barbie Girl" which was a big hit in 1997. The group only ever released 2 albums, "Aquarium" in 1997 and "Aquarius" in 2000. Sales of their albums and singles has been estimated to be over 30 million copies. Aqua added their own unique styles, personalities and cultures to their music, just like ABBA did back in the day. ABBA of course was a Swedish group that took the world by storm and had a cult like following between the 60's and 80's. The band split in 2001 and some members have pursued solo careers. Lene Nystrøm, René Dif and Søren Rasted have all achieved solo chart success while Claus Norreen has remained in the music industry but as a re-mixer for other musicians. The band were great while together. It is sad they split up. I guess they felt it was best. Aqua will reunite for a tour in 2008. This was confirmed at a press event on Friday October 26, 2007.

The man knows how to entertain. Steve Carell has a talent for entertainment and a gift for comedy. He knows how to captivate an audience, keep them on the edge of their seats and leave them in stitches wanting more. His facial expressions combined with his wacky body language make for an excellent recipe for tv and movie viewing. Better known for his role in "The Office" and more recently as 'Evan Baxter' in "Evan Almighty", the sequel to the Jim Carey movie "Bruce Almighty". His latest movie "Get Smart" with Anne Hathaway is perfect for him and his zany character and is likely to make a lot of money at box offices worldwide.

Patrick Stewart, one of natures gentlemen is better known to us trekkies and Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Personally, out of all the captains to command the Enterprise, I favour him and Jim Kirk over the others. Patrick Stewart is an actor that captivates audiences and leaves them wanting more. His gift for oration and his ability to play so many different kinds of roles makes him the versatile actor we all know and love him to be. Patrick Stewart is a gentleman and his english accent makes him sound very distinguished when he plays his various on-screen roles. I find him to be very entertaining. Apart from Star Trek, I enjoyed his performance in "A Christmas Carol" and as the voice of Ramsees father in "The Prince Of Egypt". Of course there were and are other movies but too many to mention. The man is a great actor and a credit to the acting profession. He has worked hard to be where he is today and to achieve the great success that is rightfully his.

Transformers is a very action packed movie full of excellent special effects and I absolutely loved the Autobots characters, especially Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee. I enjoyed the chases, the fight scenes and the suspense of the movie which was very edge-of-your seat stuff. I did not think I would enjoy it as much as I did but I was proved wrong. Well done to the people who produced and Directed it, especially Michael Bay and Stephen Spielberg. Full credit to them for their efforts as well as the actors who made the movie the fantastic piece of work that it turned out to be.

A movie that has a lot to offer in laughs and scares...But don't get too frightened cos as they put it, in their opinion, "We Scare Because We Care". This movie features the voices of John Goodman and Billy Crystal just to name a few. Monsters Inc is a business that provides power to all of Monstropolis. They get their power by scaring kids and storing the scare scream energy in viles. They go through doors on the scare floor. James P. Sullivan is the scare record leader. Mike Wazowski is his best friend and together they tackle the scare floor. The monster who always wants to beat Sullivan and even cheats to get his way is none other than Randall Boggs. He along with the C.E.O of Monsters Inc Henry J. Waternoose are scheming up bad things in the company but with the smarts of Sully and Mike and the added unexpected acquaintance of a little girl named boo from the human world whom the guys befriend, they are able to stumble onto and expose the plot. Meanwhile they are banished to Antarctica for their nosiness and for finding out the truth. Roz, who is an undercover agent and head of CDA. Her undercover position at Monsters Inc. is dispatcher for the company. Boo is sent home and Sully and Mike are told they can never see her again. Her door is shredded but after a pain staking effort, Mike gets Sully her door back and Sully see's Boo again and everyone is happy. From what I gather from the end of the film, Sully becomes the new boss of the company and now they no longer scare to get power, they use laughter. They make the kids in the human world laugh and they collect the laughter energy which is even stronger for power. Monstropolis is fine and they have plenty of power thanks to Sully, Mike and Boo.

Princess Diana was in my opinion, the closest thing to a saint in my lifetime. She was kind, generous, selfless and full of charity and love in her heart for her fellow man. She had the heart of God inside her and she was full of compassion for the sick and needy. Like Mother Theresa, she would often devote her time to causes and people who would write to her reaching out for help or just companionship. Maybe they just wanted to meet their Princess. She would always oblige because her heart was for the people. She would have made an ideal Queen. A people's Queen. A Godly Queen. A Queen with a heart of Gold. She was known by people all over the world as England’s Rose and Sir Elton John sung it best when he sang his tribute song to Diana which he reworded from what was a song he originally wrote for Marilyn Monroe 'Norma Jean'. I was very saddened when Diana died. I was heart broken for a couple of weeks (from memory). I watched all the tribute shows on TV and I watched the funeral. I still can't believe she's gone. Her life truly was like a candle in the wind. She died too soon. Her life cut short in her prime. She will always be remembered in our hearts and forever sorely missed. Rest In Peace fair Princess. Be safe in the Lord's Caring Arms.

I support the review of cherokeelady42 when I also sing the praises of Yanni, my Greek namesake. I am Greek and have that paticular fact in common with him as well as my love for music. Though I was not born in Greece, she lives in my heart and I treasure her every day. Yanni is one of my musical passions because he plays the piano so beautifully. I have one of his tapes and am looking at getting more. Yiasou Yanni (Hello Yanni). Good On Ya Patriotaki (Good On You My Fellow Countryman). Zito Oi Ellas (Long Live Greece).

This is a very funny movie. Very typical Greeks dealing with their love crazed and engaged daughter in a very non-Greek situation. Side splitting laughter and a whole lot of fun. At certain points in the movie, I think you actually gotta be a Greek to fully appreciate some of the comedy in this movie (Like the Windex and the Greek humour). Nia Vardalos plays her role like a princess and she is always beautiful. I own the DVD.

The Incredibles movie is about superheroes. They were sent into hiding after the townspeople revolted and brought a whole heap of lawsuits on them for ridiculous reasons. They lived as average human beings with their secret identities hidden for a long time until Syndrome showed up. He was, as a boy, Mr. Incredible's number one fan. Mr. Incredible however found him annoying and a pest and sent him home. Now, with super powers of his own, Syndrome wants to wipe out all the supers and create a monster that he wants to stop so he can show the people that he is the ultimate superhero. However, Mr. Incredible and his family and Frozone are on the case and defeat Syndrome and save the day and the townspeople. A great movie. I love it and I own it.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is an angel in this movie. The animation is great and the comedy is very Garfield. Garfield the cat is very funny and his cool cat attitude makes this movie a 'need to see' experience. I like the movie and own it on DVD.

Rocky Balboa, the sixth and final movie in the Rocky Saga. In this grand finale, Rocky is drawn back to the ring for one final fight to get rid of the demons of the past. It is a very good movie and very educational as Rocky teaches his now grown up son more about the values of life. I must say I learned a lot from the movie and expect to buy the DVD when it is released soon.

The movie was absolutely fantastic and I really loved the special effects. Ben Stiller played his role really well and so did Robin Williams. Owen Wilson had a perfect role for his personality. Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney had small roles as retiring security guards. They played their role very succesfully. I liked thr fiestiness of Mickey Rooney in the movie. Very funny stuff. The whole movie was a great family movie and was laugh after laugh. Ben Stiller was my favourite character in the movie. The character I did not like in the movie was Octavius. Otherwise I found it very entertaining and 'YES', I do plan to buy the DVD.
