Being on the brink of marriage makes you feel like you don't make interesting things. My life has reached that level. I don't want to start telling you all my plans soemtimes I get too bored with them and I wish to do something different.

During this week, however, I received a couple of news that might bring interesting stuff to my life.

1.- I will have some new assigments in my work that much probable will make me travel a little more (Most probably to Arlington, TX). I hope that's a fact because I want to get rid of the boredom of being around here all the time.

2.- I just ordered:

Just the game only. My brother and a friend made a triple order so it went cheaper. It's amazing to see that buying the game on the US and having it shipped is cheaper that buying it here. How is that?

With this game on my hands (Probably arriving by Sept 21st) I will renew my golden subscription to XBOX Live and have a good time with whoever of you who wants to play. I can't wait for it.

In other things, I am enjoying Madden a little more. I will play it a little further to check about some remaining stuff and probably I will write a review... Probably.

I had the chance to play some games this week at my brothers' house:

It was the first time I played a baseball game since the PS1 times. Not a bad game, but quite difficult to get used to the controls. Pretty fun if you like some "unofficial" baseball. The Pinball game was cool

This game was fun... but I am pretty sure that if you play it alone, it gets boring quickly. I must admit that some games are innovative... Track and field are fun and challenging, but Diving has, by far, the worst gameplay system ever... It just sucks... But as a party game, it brings funny moments.

Anyway, that's pretty much how can I round up this week in particular.

I will just play Madden. BTW, I hope someone around wants to play an online league by the time I get XB LIVE gold.

Thanks for reading and see you around

I lover reading. I have started to read books once again (Yeah, I might read magazines, letters and signs). And it was the kind of things that I quit doing due to job and other stuff. But I have decided to gve myself enough time everyday to take a good book and forget about the present and just get a little something.

But what do I read? I read novels and "specialized" books on topics I like. One of the things that you might be concerned is how different is literature in America and Mexico in general. I don't think they are better or worse, but is like comparing rugby with football (American football for european guys) in scence it's writing but they are completely different. Probably the only thing I love where USA is not really important around here... Meaning that I lack of knowledge about american books. Nevertheless, Spain, Mexico and all South America is the main authors I follow. We have great authors around latinamerica... but I must say that at least three of my favorite authors are not "Hispanos" (They include all authors who come from Hispanic Countries).

One of the main things I have realized about books is translation. It will always be better to read a book in its original language. Too bad I don't know more kanguages that english and spanish. BUt I say this because some translations are horrendous. BOth ways: English - Spanish and Spanish - English.

But anyway, Books are great and I want to share my favorite authors... and a book I can recommend to you. Not in a particular order... Authors I love: (I have read at least 3 books each so I am aware of what I am saying)

George Orwell:

I consider this guy the father of Post.apocallyptical Sci Fi... Nothing like a Big Borther and political issues referring to comunism from the point of view of an english thin guy.

Recommended: 1984

Arturo Perez Reverte:

Did you see Alatriste with Viggo Mortensen? Well, this is the guy who created him. A great author, pretty much around the political scheme too. I love his work, it could be boring but you need to check it out.

Recommended: El oro del rey (The king's gold)

JRR Tolkien:

I don't even need to talk about him... do I?

Recommended: Read "The Hobbit"... I think by now many of you should've read "LOTR" since it is mandatory around there... right?

Carlos Fuentes:

A mexican one. He has made good political novels and great esssays. My personal local favorite. One more thing that might take away points or make you love him. He doesn't like G.W. Bush at all.

Recommended: "The dead of Artemio Cruz"

Umberto Eco:

Italian by nature and a great Semiotics student. His work is too deep you really gets attached with it. One of the best environment describers.

Recommended: "THe name of the Rose" (That Sean Connery pic doesn't give it a proper justice)

Gabriel García Márquez:

For many, the best writer ever in Latinamerica, and that's too much to say.

Recommended: "A hundred years of solitude"

Mario Vargas Llosa:

So good, his novels are ussually part of movie scripts. Enjoyable reading. Pretty much dark humor and funny situations.

Recommended: "Pantaleón y las visitadoras"

Jorge Ibarguengoitia

Low profile mexican writer. But that didn't hid his talent. He was humorous and truly to the nature of the country. Relaxing.

Recommended: "Dos crimenes"

I could say more... but take these for starting...

Have a really nice day!!!

Batman the movie is one of those works that you will always remember as reference for transformation of a character. During the 60's and until late 80's when this movie was released, the concept of Batman was established by teh 60's series with...
