OK, I admit, I'm not usually a fan of blogs, but I felt I needed to express my feelings on a certain subject. I believe people's reviews should be checked before being put on the site. While I'm all for allowing any one to express their opinions on their favorite/ least favorite television programs, certain people are a disgrace to the art of reviewing...
The "Your review must be 100 words long" policy was created to ensure those reviewing shows knew enough about the show to properly judge it. Some users, however, have found "clever" ways to get around the policy in several ways:
Generic Bad Review 1- "I i i iii ii iii ii i ii ii i iii ii i i i i iii ii i i i i i i iii ii i i i i i i i i i iii ii i i i i i iii ii iii iiii i ii i ii love love love love love love love this show!"
Generic Bad Review 2- "I hate this show . It is really bad. It just sucks. I want it to end. I really really think it's bad. Why do people like it? I think it's bad and really stupid. It's not good at all."
These reviews take space of where well written reviews should be highlighted. So, overall, people need to find reasons why they think a show is good or bad, or not write a review at all.

My reviews are always over a hundred words but I completely agree with you on how people write really stupid reviews.

Its just one of those things, you cant be open to everybody and exclude those you think are morons - even if they are. I have only just started logging in to the site even though Ive been using it for a long time, so I actually didnt notice how much you could do as a member before - but I for one intend to make what I say mean something, not just say it for the points or to take up space.

Yes I completely agree. However, thankfully the staff has created the Report Review Abuse feature. So that should take care of people who just write gibberish, hopefully.

i completely agree wif you it annoys me pple get away wif it and waste the good reviews others have wrote i for one olny right reviews for the episodes that mean summat to me otherwise i dont bother cause i cant right enough

To quote the famous pornographer Larry Flint: "Freedom of speech isn't freedom for the thought you love, it's freedom for the thought you hate the most." I personally think that they should let us comment on people's reviews to keep things level headed, though that would lead to the same morons leaving the same irrational comments on reviews, so it would just end up becoming a vicious cycle. My solution to this problem is to send a PM to the person reminding them to be rational and objective when writing a review.
