Could do worse than download a few of the tracks that feature in Supernatural if you haven't done so already and you like that kind of stuff. I discovered "Laugh I Nearly Died" by the Rolling Stones there, as well as Steve Carlson. And Kansas. Who, I'm slightly ashamed to say, I now looove!

Ive always loved the Stones - I saw them in Wales in August but hadn't heard Bigger Bang and I FELL IN LOVE with 'Laugh I Nearly Died' cause of SN too - that is a gorgeous song! I really wanna hear the Carlson band stuff - esp cause im sure i read that Jensen has done backing vocal cause they're mates but cldnt seem to get hold of the tracks - any advice??

Ooh i love the Kansas song 2 - it just totally fitted that epi

I have a ton of stuff.. I do this thing on my blog--songs of the week.. i usually update weekly.. but i have a bunch of stuff.. in order to give some suggestions, what type of music do you listen too? Punk, rock, classic rock, rap, country (don't listen to country at all, so wouldn't be much help to you in this genre), adult alternative.. i don't know.. i guess just check out my blog and you can look at some of the stuff i have up.. i am a music freak! i live for music..

Yeah, you're right, but Jensen did backing on his first (and only so far, I think) solo album. Google Steve Carlson and you'll find his website. Also, you can't get any of his stuff here in the UK, but you should be able to get it in the States or import, put his name into Amazon. Or Google it and see what you can find to download, that's how I found "Night Time", the song off SN.
I've just clocked Wales - you're British?

Well, I just got ACDC: Back In Black and that is a good CD, Big & Rich is good if you like non-hick country, Rob Zombie is always good. But what kind of stuff do you like?

hey so if you like rock/punk rock type stuff i would reccommend papa roach (scars is good and on youtube there's a vid for supernstural using that song) goo goo dolls (once agin a specific song i like is acoustic #3 and there's also a vid for SN on youtube with that one) um you read those suggestions i made with simple plan and lifehouse and junk already so you know about that, aerosmith, metallica (but you watch SN so you know) keane my chemical romance (i like i don't love you loads and teenagers-songs) ok i could go on but i won't cause this is long enough

Um, I recommend Keane, Snow Patrol, Matt Nathanson, Goo Goo Dolls, U2, Coldplay, Aviatic (these guys aren't very well known yet--show 'em some love, they're pretty awesome), Styx, The Rolling Stones, Three Dog Night, Pink Floyd's pretty good, don't laugh at me--but Frank Sinatra's really pretty awesome stuff..OK Go, is pretty good.. Taking Back Sunday, Breaking Benjamin, Audioslave, Augustana and I can't think of much else right now except for Bon Jovi..

wow thank you everyone who has made suggestions - when i finally write my blog I will chat bout all the music i like probly - basically i know/have a hell of a lot of the SN stuff from before the show cause my dad is a metalhead (i was totally blessed in the parent music loving stakes ) before i was born he's play me Sabbath, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Deep Purple etc cause he was determined I wldnt like folk like my mum but i kinda like a lot of her stuff 2! He was also into other rock, alt, prog rock like Pink Floyd/ King Crimson & also randomly, female singer-songwriters - he named me after Kate Bush!
I inherited my dads love of all things rock and metal -he moved onto raising me on Metallica, Pantera, Rage Against The Machine, Megadeth etc and i LOVE all that stuff- & female singer songwriters, i like some Dylan n stuff cause of my mum, um punk, alt rock - allsorts! My fave band ever tho are the Smashing Pumpkins I love ppl like Bleeding Through n Avenged Sevenfold 2.

But i do like softer stuff n random stuff as well - wldnt laugh about the Frank Sinatra thing - I have his greatest hits cd cause I love the whole old skool timeless song thing (i adore 'Under My Skin') Massive thanks 2u Kels cause u have so got me into The Fray and Ok Go! I ordered the cds yesterday (Damn Hot will always make me picture Dean punching Sam!) 2 Sagittarius n WB Fan, I will check out the stuff I'm not familiar with but I love the Goo Goo Dolls - fave song probly Dizzy cause of the line 'you're dirty and you're sweet, you know you're everything to me' - please note I am OBSESSED with lyrics so plz everyone feel free to chuck your fave ones at me (I collect lyrics and quotes ) Ummm - wow won't need to do a bio at this rate! I love all the songs on SN but my fave uses of a song so far have been the absolutely beautiful Laugh I Nearly Died by the Stones for when Sam sees the apparition of Jess, and the two uses of Blue Oyster Cult songs in Hell House cause I LOVE BOC! I thought it was so cool how they used Fire of Unknown Origin with its absolutely perfect fitting chorus (it was like 'what came first, the idea then the song use, or the song then the idea ) - that also has a great lyric 'Death comes driving down the highway in its Sunday best!'

Anywayz gonna go try find the Steve Carlson cd - sorry for rambling n cheers again everyone

Wow Kate, that was a bit stream-of-conciousness there! I CANNOT believe the guys are coming to Coventry in May and I didn't know. What date is it? I might have to rearrange my life...

Good job your Dad liked female singer/songwriters too otherwise you might have ended up with one hell of a strange name...

Let me know if you have any luck finding the Steve Carlson.
