Well there is a lot going on in sports right now. The NBA playoffs, the Stanley Cup playoffs, the NFL draft just happened and the baseball season is really underway. But, I was watching Baseball Tonight the other day, and the first three highlights they showed involved, surprise, the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets. And I timed it, they spent about 12 minutes talking about these games together. Of course they just had to talk about the "Aces" that pitched that day and break down almost every single freakin pitch. But this is where it gets really crazy. Edinson Volquez, one of the pitchers for my favorite team, the Reds, pitched against the Giants and had 10, yes 10 strikeouts. And what do you know, they spend about 2 minutes recapping that game. Then later on in the show, well they decided to go back to the F'in Yankees and talk about their rotation. So I figured they spent about 3 minutes talking about that. That's 15 minutes they spent talking about their favorite teams. And since the show only has about 45 minutes due to the commercials they spent 1/3 of the freaking show talking about them. But it's not just baseball, which is really a bad thing. If your not a Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, Lakers, Pistons, Knicks, Patriots or Steelers fan you better get ready for the 10 seconds they show your team's highlights on sportscenter. Hell the Knicks aren't in the playoffs and they talk about them more than they do the Hornets or 76ers, teams who are in the playoffs and may win their series. I think this is total BS. I am seriously considering protesting against ESPN. Who's with me?
