I walked through the ballroom,watching all of the happy couples dance together,hugging and kissing.

They all look so happy.I sighed,walking around some more,when I felt something tap on my shoulder.I stopped.

"May I have a dance?",I heard a voice ask from behind me.

I turned around to see who asked.I fell in love at first sight.

He had beautiful brunette hair,and a perfect face.His lips curled up into a faint smile.

I smiled back,feeling my face heat up.

"S-Sure.",I said,stuttering and twirling my long,brown hair through my fingers.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me out onto the dance floor.

As we were about to dance,I felt that I should tell him something.

"Err... I should warn you,I can't dance",I blushed.

He smiled,"That's fine".

We started to dance,when I saw my good friend,Joshua dance up close to us with his date,Claudia.

"Found a date,eh Kate?",Joshua said with a smirk.

I stuck my touge out at him,"Of course I did,Josh.And it didn't take me ten minutes,either!",I said cockily.

"Yeah,it didn't take you ten minutes.Took you two hours.",He rolled his eyes.

I heard both Claudia and the boy I was dancing with laugh.

"Are we going to dance,or are you two going to argue all night?",Claudia asked jokingly,poking Joshua in the shoulder.

We all started dancing again.After about an hour,the ball had ended.

"Well,I suppose I should be leaving.",My mystery love said,before starting to walk off.

"Wait! Can I have your name?",I asked,not wanting to see my future husband leave with out me at least knowing his name.

"Oh,my name is Mantas.",He answered,turning to smile at me. "And yours is Kate,I presume?"

Wow.He has a better attention span than I thought.I nodded.

"Shall I see you again at the dance next week?",Mantas asked me.

I wasn't wanting to go,since Josh and Claudia dragged me to this one,but knowing that Mantas will be there makes me want to go.

"Of course!",I smiled.

"If you tell me where you live,I'll gladly pick you up.",He offered.

I grinned,then decided it couldn't be a bad idea.I told him where I live,then we said our good-byes.
