I sat down,and I saw Kari running away.I smirked as I saw Mantas and Daph coming back from their dance.

"Did you guys have fun?",I asked happily,as if nothing had happened.

"We sure did! Your boyfriend is a great dancer!",Daphne said happily.

I saw Mantas' face light up red.I also felt my face heat up.

"... He is your boyfriend,isn't he?",Daph questioned.

Joshua and Claudia danced quietly.Claudia slowly leaned her head onto Josh's shoulder.

"I love you...",She muttered her feelings into Joshua's shoulder,barely being audible.

"What was that?",Josh asked.

"Oh... Nothing..."

They enjoyed their dance a moment longer,before being interrupted by Kari.

"You guys have to help me! Please!"

Josh sighed in annoyance,but answered anyway,"What do you want? A dance?"

"No! Kate assaulted me!",She answered to Josh.

Josh's expression suddenly went from annoyance to shock.Until he thought for a moment,and his lips curled themselves into a sly smirk,then he let out a laugh.

"Did you say anything she 'assaulted' you?",Joshua asked.

"N-no,just some playful b-banter!",She said with much nervousness in her voice.

Claudia's lips also curved intio a smirk.

"Oh,I think there was more than 'playful banter'.",Joshua said while walking away from Kari.

"You jerk!",Kari yelled at Josh.

"Excuse me Kari,may I have a word with you outside?",Claudia asked.

"Um... Sure... I guess."

The two females headed outside,before Kari started to ask Claudia why she brought her out here.That is,until Claudia's hand was brought painfully to Kari's face.

"That's for interrupting our dance,you *****!",Claudiayelled before stomping back into the building.

Me,Josh,Mantas and Daph were all sitting down,talking to eachother and laughing about the stories we each told.

Claudia sat down at the fifth chair at the table.

"Oi,where were you,Claudia?",I asked,noticing her rubbing her hand tenderly."What happened to your hand?"

"Gah,I think I broke my hand on that girl's face...",Claudia said.

Truth be told,me and Claudia can get pretty violent when we're angry... Or insulted.

"Huh?",Mantas started,before Claudia started to explain what happened.

"Well,I took her outside and- Ow!",Claudia said,before Josh elbowed her in the ribs.She just realized what she started to tell him.

"O-oh,uh... I'm thirsty! I'm gonna go get something to drink! Ha ha ha!",She said nervously,before taking off towards the punch table,tripping over her own chair in the process.

Mantas simply shrugged,and I sighed.

The night was over,and we said our goodbyes to Daph,Josh and Claudia,before Mantas took me home.

Once there,we stepped out of the car,and talked for a moment.

"So,I suppose I'll see you at school this week?",Mantas asked.

Argh.School.I see Kari there everyday(We're in the same classes.),but I only SEE Mantas there every now-and-then.

"Um,yeah,I guess!",I said."Um,Mantas? Do you think you ould come visit me tomarrow?"

"Sure.Is it fine with your parents?",He asked.

"They're gone on vacation for a couple of weeks,so I have to house all to myself.",I sighed.

He smiled and nodded.

Well,I guess this is the part where the Handsome Prince kisses the Charming Princess,eh? Pssh.In my dreams.

I started to walk away.

"Kate?" I heard him say.I turned around,and I was pulled into a loving embrace.I was shocked at first,but I got used to it after a couple of seconds.He pushed me away a bit,and I whimpered at the loss of his warmth.

Then...

He kissed me.

HE FREAKIN' KISSED ME.

Much,much,much, MUCH better than a hug!

He slowly pulled away,and I saw his face.Aww,he's so cute when he's blushing!

"So,what time tomarrow?"

"... Wellll,I usually wake up at about 7:00 AM,so about 9?"

He nodded.We turned our backs to eachother's and I ran into my house.Needless to say,I went to sleep pretty happy that night.

I waited days and days.

Monday,Tuesday,Wendsday,Thursday,Friday...

Until finally,that one lucky day came:

I waited outside.I was wearing a blue dress with sequins,I had high heels on,and I had my short hair combed into a cute style.

'sigh... I hope he likes this outfit better than my previous one.I looked like a mess in that outfit...',I thought to myself.

"Kate!",I heard a voice yell.

I looked up to Mantas standing there infront of a limo.

I stared in shock to see A LIMO infront of my house.

"Mantas!",I yelled with glee,running over to see him.It was actually a CHALLENGE in the stupid dress... Argh.

"You look beautiful.",he smiled.

What was that I was saying about this dress being stupid?

"Thank you",I blushed.

"Shall we get going?",He asked politely.

I nodded,smiling,beforehe andl entered the limo.

Once we were there,he got out of the limo,and helped me out.I saw Josh and Claudia standing there,along with Claudia's younger sibling,Daphne.

My eyes widened as I looked around to see someone who I REAAAAAAAAAAALLY hadn't hoped to see:

Kari Griffin.

She was the stupiest,most stuck-up (Uh... pardon my language)SLUT in the entire school.

Oh crap... She's walking over here... Crapcrapcrap! Stay calm,and DO NOT hit her! I repeat! DO NOT HIT HER!!!

"Oh my,is that you,Kate? I couldn't recognize you without those ugly clothes and the boy hairstyle!",Kari said cockily.

Yep.Now you see why I hate her.

"Oh my,and who is this boy you're with?",She turned to Mantas."Listen,whatever she's paying you to date her,I'll pay you triple to dump her.",She said with a sly smirk.

"She's not paying me anything.I wanted to come here with her.",He said,raising his eyebrows.

Hahaha.Her expression is PRICELESS!

Me and Mantas walked off towards Claudia,Josh and Daphne,leaving Kari dumbfounded.

We all went into the ballroom.Josh and Claudia went to dance,while me and Mantas took Daphne to go get some punch.

"Hey,Katie?"

"Yes Daph?",I answered.

"What's his name?",Daphne asked,pointing towards Mantas.

"My name is Mantas!",Mantas said happily.

After we each got some punch,we started to walk towards a table and we all sat down.

"Hey Mantas?",Daph started to ask.

"Yes?"

"Will you dance with me? I don't have a date...",Daphne asked.

"Sure",Mantas said before taking her out to the dance floor.

"Oh my,your boyfriend left you for a little girl!",I heard that same annoying voice say.

I started to regretcoming here.Oi,Why couldn't I have just invited Mantas over to my house?!

"I can't believe this! This is just so priceless! You can't even keep a boy interested for ten minutes! You must be really lame in bed!"

That's it.

I stood up,and grabbed Kari by the front of her dress,bringing her closer to me.

"Now listen you! I'd rather be a virgin than sleep with every guy that I meet! I'm not like you! I'm not a toy,and I never will be! Now I suggest you get going before I send you home with a black eye!",I said in anger.

"It's not my fault that you can't keep a guy interested!"

I raised my fist,but right as I was about to give her that black eye that I was talking about,I heard Mantas and Daphne coming back from the dance floor.I stopped,let Kari go,than sat down.She simply ran away crying.
