Game Informer made it the cover. It's easily Rockstar's most radicalseries reboot since "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas". I remember when theycovered GTA: SA in the summer of 2004. I was blown away from what I was reading, butalso shocked: gang members, really? An African American gangbanger as the hero? Wow. It was quite surprising and yet, I disapproved. GTA was about the Mafia, not about minority gangs. Still, the revelation of how bigthegame would be was quite awesome. LA, San Franciscoand Las Vegas would be representedand so wouldthe 1990's. If Vice City was a spoof of the Decade of Excess, than how would the 90's soundtrack hold up?
"Max Payne 3" stirs up similar feelings for me.Since whendid Sam Fisher of "Double Agent" become Max? Seriously,Max is now Bruce Willis. What happened to the trademark Film NoirMax? Still,"The Fall of Max Payne" was one of my favorite games of the first half ofthe decade. So, there's no way I'm not reserving this one.I can't wait to read the issue.
