No, not WoW, thank the dark lords. I will never touch that, unconditionally. I'm talking about Rock Band 2. It is the first of its kind that I've played, and I was impressed. They created a nice experience there.
Basically, Guitar Hero, DDR, and Rock Band are all aggrandized Simon Says-type games. I recognize this as inane, but it is fun. Is it fun enough to buy? Not now. I am still a bigger fan of games with substance, but Rock Band is more of a game I would like to have for a party.
The only thing that scares me is that so many of the fun songs I played were downloaded post-purchase for $2 apiece. That could turn a $100 game into a $200 game really fast. In these lean times, I can't take that risk. Maybe if my wife gets a new job.

I hate the incremental purchase model, so I totally get what you mean. Loads of the songs you don't really carwe about are in Rock Band, and the ones you do care about the nost are not. Which is why I don't want to buy it. But I love the Beatles, so I might get that, and expand from there...

I've always just been a Guitar hero guy, but I only have the first and third games, they kinda lost their charm after a while. I wasn't big on losing on them, but there isn't much else to do besides play harder difficulties, and the networking issues are terrible for multiplayer. Also, don't own a second guitar for co-op, which I really wish I could play, but I don't wanna dish out money for something I won't play much anyway.

So far the closest I have is High School Musical and I admit that while not a great singer I did enjoy that quite a bit. I was in the High School, church, and Air Force choir.
