I'm more of a DC comics guy myself, but seriously?Sounds like it was a $hareholders-driven decision. Watch the fan base dry up, even if content remains decent (which is doubtful given Disney's tendency towards content control). It isn't cool to be reading Disney comics, and perception matters more than reality. Me, I would pay good money to see a Mickey vs. Magneto.

lots of money and now Spiderman and company are part Mickey's Clubhouse - well we will see how this turns out, I rather like Pixar myself and Wall-E was the best cartoon movie In ages.

Same. I was disappointed when Pixar was bought, even though Disney already had control over their stuff. Cars confirmed that sense of distrust.

BUT I have to say that Penny Arcade's take on it was funny, with The Beast keeping his job over Beast, because of rationalisation. Though, myself, I'd have kept Kelsey Grammar on the team.

It's a bit of a shame, hadn't Marvel just set up their own film production company?
