Last week was horrible. Wait, I mean, hey! How's it going?
I woke up last Monday to the sound of the rain pounding on the roof. It was so loud, I actually thought it was hale.
On Tuesday, it was cloudy and cold. On Wednesday, the sun came out for a minute, then it was back to being cloudy and cold. Thursday was good; it was sunny all day and the temperature was mild. I only had 2 and a half hours of school on that day, so it was awesome.
Then, Friday came and everything went to hell. It was so cold and it rained all day! ![]()
The university was almost empty last Friday because a lot of people were sick. It's unfair; I feel left out because I'm not sick. LOL Kidding. The causes of illness are a bit confusing these days, actually. There's the changing weather and the rain, the regular flu season coming up, and there's also H1N1. There are confirmed cases of H1N1 in the university, but there hasn't been a mass breakout, which is good.
What is not good about this situation is that I still have clas.ses. LOL So, I support a mass breakout of the H1N1 pandemic. If it gets me out of school, it's all good to me.
Kidding!
You know, I'm actually enjoying school...at the moment.
I'm all caught up with all my homework. I'm such a keener. LOL I feel like I'm in Grade 9 again, when all I did was homework and...more homework.
I've even finished assignments that are not due until next, next week. Proud moment!
My mom's going to read this, then she'll send me an edible bouquet. That's right, mom, an edible bouquet. You know where I live! LOL
My weekend was great! It rained and it was cold, but it was all right. Yesterday afternoon, the skies cleared up and the sun shone through. It was amazing! LOL This weekend was the Homecoming Weekend of my university.
It was the one weekend in the school year where past, current, and prospective students are allowed to engage in all kinds of debauchary.
Kidding! No, it was all good fun!
There was a parade, there were pancake keggers, peppermint schnapps, some puking after all the "beverages"
, and most importantly, there was a lot of purple pride.
[The main colour of my school is purple, if you're wondering.] Even my parents join in on the pride thing, even though they're not alumni. It's weird; it's like they have more school spirit than I do.
Kidding!
There was the anticipated homecoming football game. The varsity team of my university came into the game undefeated...and came out defeated, 42-35.
I have to say, it hurt a bit. LOL I actually played in the game. I was supposed to be just supporting and observing from the bleachers as the Jr.-Jr. Assistant Coach, but the coach asked me to play, so the alumni can know who won the Rookie of the Year last school year. So, I agreed, but I didn't play as a running back like my original position in the team; I played the kicker. The team scored 5 touchdowns, so I had 5 chances to kick the ball. I contributed 5 points to the final score.
Even though we didn't win, playing one last time with the varsity football team in the homecoming game in front of a great home crowd was a nice way to end my university football career. ![]()
There was a golf tournament this morning, but I didn't go. I went shopping with Laura.
That means she went shopping, while I just tagged along and carried her shopping bags for her. LOL The only store I bought things from is American Eagle. I bought, like, half the store.
I was only going to buy socks and underwear, but I got carried away and bought one of each kind of shirts (long and short sleeved), one of each kind of hoodies, and one of each kind of jeans. I got some scarves, too. I should get free stuff from AE since I advertise their products on a daily basis.
Kidding.
The coming week is pretty busy. I have an oral presentation and a midterm on Thursday. My first baskektball game is also on Thursday, and next weekend I'm going to another city for a football game, in which I will not be playing, I will just be watching. The coach promised not to ask me to play again. Yay! ![]()
On a different note, did anyone see Brian Austin Green slice himself up some acting chops in last Thursday's Smallville?
For a brief moment, I actually thought he gave a stellar performance. No, really, David Silver was good in that episode. LOL Mind boggling! ![]()
On another different note, this morning I went to church with my family and Laura's family. During the homily, the priest said, "You can see God everywhere. You can see Him in your children, and they in you." Right after the priest said that, my mom turned to look at me. Then after a few seconds of looking at me, she giggled. My mother is so mean.
Also, there was this boy sitting in front of us, who kept hugging his mother. My mom saw me looking at the boy and then she told Laura, "Kyle was like that when he was younger. He wouldn't let go of me, either." Oh, mothers and the embarrassment they bring. ![]()
Anyway...pictures time! LOL If a picture is really worth a thousand words, then this blog will be a bajillion words long.
Kidding! The road trip pictures are not in order; I have a folder of pictures in my laptop, and I just picked randomly.
Some of them may not even be mine; some may be my friends'.
They're mostly of the wilderness. LOL. They'll be in different sizes because they come from different cameras. I won't be in most of these pictures because I was the one taking them. But in some of them, I'm just so talented that I managed to take the pictures, and be in them at the same time. ![]()
**EDIT**
This blog appears cut off in TV.com for some reason. Or is it just me?
If you'd like to see all the pictures, go to movietome.com. You can right click on the pictures and choose "view image" to see the entirety of the pics OR you can go to gamespot.com, where you can view the pictures much better (requires no right clicking). ![]()

Sort of. We don't really have a "rainy season." It's fall now, so the weather is all whacked because it's transitioning from summer to winter.
