Last week was horrible. Wait, I mean, hey! How's it going? I woke up last Monday to the sound of the rain pounding on the roof. It was so loud, I actually thought it was hale. On Tuesday, it was cloudy and cold. On Wednesday, the sun came out for a minute, then it was back to being cloudy and cold. Thursday was good; it was sunny all day and the temperature was mild. I only had 2 and a half hours of school on that day, so it was awesome. Then, Friday came and everything went to hell. It was so cold and it rained all day!

The university was almost empty last Friday because a lot of people were sick. It's unfair; I feel left out because I'm not sick. LOL Kidding. The causes of illness are a bit confusing these days, actually. There's the changing weather and the rain, the regular flu season coming up, and there's also H1N1. There are confirmed cases of H1N1 in the university, but there hasn't been a mass breakout, which is good. What is not good about this situation is that I still have clas.ses. LOL So, I support a mass breakout of the H1N1 pandemic. If it gets me out of school, it's all good to me. Kidding!

You know, I'm actually enjoying school...at the moment. I'm all caught up with all my homework. I'm such a keener. LOL I feel like I'm in Grade 9 again, when all I did was homework and...more homework. I've even finished assignments that are not due until next, next week. Proud moment! My mom's going to read this, then she'll send me an edible bouquet. That's right, mom, an edible bouquet. You know where I live! LOL

My weekend was great! It rained and it was cold, but it was all right. Yesterday afternoon, the skies cleared up and the sun shone through. It was amazing! LOL This weekend was the Homecoming Weekend of my university. It was the one weekend in the school year where past, current, and prospective students are allowed to engage in all kinds of debauchary. Kidding! No, it was all good fun! There was a parade, there were pancake keggers, peppermint schnapps, some puking after all the "beverages" , and most importantly, there was a lot of purple pride. [The main colour of my school is purple, if you're wondering.] Even my parents join in on the pride thing, even though they're not alumni. It's weird; it's like they have more school spirit than I do. Kidding!

There was the anticipated homecoming football game. The varsity team of my university came into the game undefeated...and came out defeated, 42-35. I have to say, it hurt a bit. LOL I actually played in the game. I was supposed to be just supporting and observing from the bleachers as the Jr.-Jr. Assistant Coach, but the coach asked me to play, so the alumni can know who won the Rookie of the Year last school year. So, I agreed, but I didn't play as a running back like my original position in the team; I played the kicker. The team scored 5 touchdowns, so I had 5 chances to kick the ball. I contributed 5 points to the final score. Even though we didn't win, playing one last time with the varsity football team in the homecoming game in front of a great home crowd was a nice way to end my university football career.

There was a golf tournament this morning, but I didn't go. I went shopping with Laura. That means she went shopping, while I just tagged along and carried her shopping bags for her. LOL The only store I bought things from is American Eagle. I bought, like, half the store. I was only going to buy socks and underwear, but I got carried away and bought one of each kind of shirts (long and short sleeved), one of each kind of hoodies, and one of each kind of jeans. I got some scarves, too. I should get free stuff from AE since I advertise their products on a daily basis. Kidding.

The coming week is pretty busy. I have an oral presentation and a midterm on Thursday. My first baskektball game is also on Thursday, and next weekend I'm going to another city for a football game, in which I will not be playing, I will just be watching. The coach promised not to ask me to play again. Yay!

On a different note, did anyone see Brian Austin Green slice himself up some acting chops in last Thursday's Smallville? For a brief moment, I actually thought he gave a stellar performance. No, really, David Silver was good in that episode. LOL Mind boggling!

On another different note, this morning I went to church with my family and Laura's family. During the homily, the priest said, "You can see God everywhere. You can see Him in your children, and they in you." Right after the priest said that, my mom turned to look at me. Then after a few seconds of looking at me, she giggled. My mother is so mean. Also, there was this boy sitting in front of us, who kept hugging his mother. My mom saw me looking at the boy and then she told Laura, "Kyle was like that when he was younger. He wouldn't let go of me, either." Oh, mothers and the embarrassment they bring.

Anyway...pictures time! LOL If a picture is really worth a thousand words, then this blog will be a bajillion words long. Kidding! The road trip pictures are not in order; I have a folder of pictures in my laptop, and I just picked randomly. Some of them may not even be mine; some may be my friends'. They're mostly of the wilderness. LOL. They'll be in different sizes because they come from different cameras. I won't be in most of these pictures because I was the one taking them. But in some of them, I'm just so talented that I managed to take the pictures, and be in them at the same time.

**EDIT**

This blog appears cut off in TV.com for some reason. Or is it just me? If you'd like to see all the pictures, go to movietome.com. You can right click on the pictures and choose "view image" to see the entirety of the pics OR you can go to gamespot.com, where you can view the pictures much better (requires no right clicking).

Thin Man! I like that nickname. The weather was really bad over here during the week too. My body found it hard to adjust to the sudden weather change so I'm freeeeezing. If everything went to hell, wouldn't it be hot? No one in my school has caught the H1NI.. yet. All my classes have those hand wipes now. Hopefully the teachers start getting sick and you get confused substitutes! Kidding. What are pancake keggers and peppermint schnapps? LOL schnapps. Yay congrats to your team! Kicker? Like Kurt in Glee? Did you point to the finger, point to the finger again (because it was a sneak attack) and slap the butt? AE should start giving you free stuff. I'm still thinking about the raspberry-coloured dress from AE that you should've bought me. Tear. Joking. I like how your mom shares. Ooh, Vancouver! I think you went to English Bay. Did you see the apartment with the tree on top? D I recognize the pink building that's why ahah. I like the Ten Peaks picture.. I can count less than 10 peaks though. OMG the Moraine Lake is soooo blue! Is it freshwater? Some of the pictures really remind me of the lake I went to when I went camping. EWW tanline. It looks like you have half a face sunburn. That reminds me of Ross and him counting Mississippi's. You're so skinny! Ahhhh! What's inside the tower? Where did you go in the 'Not a sunset' photo? Your dad is way cooler than you. Ooh, that water is so green in that frog picture. The Hoodoo picture is so abstract. *eyes hurt* I see Jesus! Maybe if he grew his facial hair a bit more. Where are the ice pictures from? OMG IT'S CINDERELLA'S PUMPKIN CARRIAGE!.. I think. The second beach photo.. was that by Sunshine Coast? Thanks for sharing! All the photos were really pretty.. except for the ones with your face. Kidding. Oh yeah, you don't have any Fanny Bay pictures?

101 pics & it's only part #1? WOW! Canada is beautiful! I like the flooded forest in Sasketchuwan (sp). How did you figure out where to stop climbing the fire tower? >> Even if you used a Brunton & basic trig to figure the angle to point the camera you wouldn't know where to stop climbing on the ladder.Wow you were REALLY thin by the end of the vacation.I can't find your dad in the rapids pic. They should paint more trail markers on the Pink Mtn trail. I think I see 1 marker on a tree in the second pic. Ah, canoe paddle guitar I see.Did you go rock climbing in Hoodoo Rocks (those look like other ppl)?I think that the "moss colored water" is green algae. Yes glacier-fed lakes are damn cold I'm sure! How could you tell it was the same fish? There's a guys shadow in 2 of the ice sculpture pics, you? I like the Chinese Dragon one. Awesome pics Ky. Glad you had such a fantastic trip.

Is it supposed to be rainy season there? You stay healthy! Keep away from the coughers and sneezers. What's an edible bouquet? One weekend of debauchary out of 52 a year isn't bad at all. Purple for school color? I'm imagining Hogwarts. Sorry about the loss in the football game. Good luck on your ballgame on Thursday. I did like BAG in Terminator. I thought he'd last longer in Smallville. Great pics! Favorites -- clouds reflecting on water, sunsets, frogs, somewhere in the prairies, horsehose canyon, icy hockey net, Random Rob and a the ones where you (and/or your dad) is in them. Enjoy your week!

Congrats on being first, Mack! Really? So it's cut off just for me then. I feel special. Kidding! The third episode of Bored to Death was okay. I'm still waiting for the show to leave me rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off.

Sort of. We don't really have a "rainy season." It's fall now, so the weather is all whacked because it's transitioning from summer to winter. I'll try! Dude, people dropped like flies this past week. Every day, the classes got smaller and smaller because so many people were getting sick. An edible bouquet is an arrangement of fruits stuck on sticks that looks like a flower bouquet. You have the option of having the fruits dipped in chocolate. It's really good! LOL, that's true. Pssh, my school is so much better than Hogwarts. It's okay. The other team played really well; they outdid us fairly. Thanks! We won last night! I know! BAG should have stayed on the show. It was kind of disappointing. There wasn't even much of a fight in the episode. Thank you! Thanks again. Have a good weekend!

Hello to you, too, Ivy. The weather over here is the same. Yesterday was nice, though. Today's horrible; we have freezing rain. Fridays have been bummers lately. I don't like fall this year at all. There are different kinds of hell. For example, like last Friday, today is a cold hell. I read H1N1 is stronger than hand sanitizers now. You can wash your hands all you want, but if you're going to get H1N1, you're still going to get it. Pancake keggers involve eating pancakes and drinking beer. Peppermint schnapps is liqueur with higher alcohol content. It doesn't really taste peppermint-y, or so I've heard. I've never tried it. Congrats to the team? We lost the game. LOL Yeah, like Kurt. No, I didn't do any of those. You know, that part of the episode actually battled with the logical sport side of my brain. You can't do that in a football game. Plus, they only had 1 second left on the clock in the show, there's no way they could have made that touchdown even if the dance part was not included in the game time. For entertainment purposes, though, the dancing sequence was hilarious! You're still thinking about that? Well, maybe next summer I'll get you one. I don't like how my mom shares. LOL Yeah, we went to English Bay. Yes, I saw the tree on top of the high rise. That's pretty cool. The building's along Beach Avenue, right? LOL, I should have said, "Some of the Ten Peaks." The blueness of Moraine Lake is due to rock flour deposited in the lake. The lake is glacially fed, so I guess it is freshwater. All lakes look the same; they're just a combination of water and surrounding trees. Haha, my face didn't get sunburned. After I got a haircut in early July, I wore a hat most of the time. If I hadn't wore a hat, my face would have been like Ross' 8. I'm so skinny? Shut up, I actually want to lose 3 pounds. Kidding! "Not a sunset" was in Northern Ontario. I know, my dad is way cooler than me, he's way smarter than me, he's way better in everything than me. Rob actually had more facial hair during the summer. The one here is a recent picture. He really did look like Jesus over the summer. The ice pictures aren't mine actually. LOL They're my friend's, but they're in the same folder as my road trip photos, so I put them up because they look cool. I don't know, is Sunshine Coast just another name for Crescent Beach? If it's not, then, no, that second beach picture was from Crescent Beach, which is just outside Vancouver. LOL, thanks so much. No, I don't have any Fanny Bay pictures. I have a picture of a fanny, though. KIDDING!

Really, Mike? 101 pictures? I didn't even realize there were so many. Canada is indeed beautiful. One has to know where to look to see the beauty, though. What? We didn't use any trig at all. We just pointed the camera on the tripod towards the direction of the tower, then used one of the features that allows the camera to take pictures on 5 second intervals. I have more pictures of us climbing the tower, but I picked the one where my dad and I were relatively in the middle of the picture. When we got to the top, my dad went back down to take a picture of me sticking my hand out of the window. I know, my mom was livid when she saw how thin I actually was. LOL My dad is on the far right of the picture. Right-click on the picture, then choose "view image" to see the whole photo. They should do that. It's okay, though. I mean, we found our way through the trail. We did climb a part of the Hoodoo Rocks. I'm not in that picture because I was the one taking it. It was green algae. The fish already had the same hole on the side of it's mouth from when I caught it. No, not me in those ice pictures. Thanks, buddy. Thanks, again!

Oh I see. I thought you guys set up the camera & then figured out the angle to the spot you would have to stop at to be centered in the picture.

I think I will start to wear face masks like Asian ladies and Michael Jackson. Maybe I'll take it to the extreme and put myself in a bubble. Oh I get it now.. pancakes and beer are both gross. Then why is it called a Peppermint schnapp? I know, I hate those sport movies where there's like 3 seconds left and yet the basketball player is still decide whether to pass or dribble the ball himself, and then he decides to dribble the ball, and then he shoots, and they all stare as the ball starts spinning around the rim of the hoop. It's dumb! Yup, Beach Avenue! Did you go into that cupcake place? They have gooood cupcakes. Maybe you should drink cranberry juice cocktail although it's all sugar. Haha, nah, that's not Sunshine Coast then. Sunshine Coast is like a little town or something like that. Eww!! I have a fanny picture too.. *thinks of cobalt blue*
Posted Oct 9, 2009 10:53 pm PT
LOL, we didn't get that fancy, Mike.
Posted Oct 10, 2009 8:04 pm PT
How about this, Ivy? Wear a face mask AND go inside a bubble! Now that would be gnarly. Kidding! Pancakes are alright. It depends on who makes them. Maybe peppermint is part of the ingredients. Yeah, those movies are bogus. They make young people believe that those things can happen in real life. Those movies should be banned for giving false hope. I feel a petition coming! Kidding! No, we didn't go to that cupcake place. How good are the cupcakes? Will I forever regret not trying them? Kidding! I could do that, but I don't want to break out. Oh, I see. We didn't go to Sunshine Coast, but we did drive through a part of Sunshine Coast Highway. You have a fanny picture?! Wait, are we thinking of the same meaning of "fanny"? LOL The cobalt blue lady wasn't showing her fanny...not that I looked. I don't even remember her.
Posted Oct 10, 2009 8:20 pm PT
We should have the world record for most failed petitions. Yes, you will regret forever not trying them. Don't worry, my mom has this really good skin stuff and I'll bring it to you in the bathroom. I'm thinking of the British fanny.. I guess you're thinking of the derriere fanny haha.
Posted Oct 11, 2009 4:32 pm PT
LOL! We should make a petition to get our record of failed petitions on the Guinness Book of World Records. That petition would probably fail, too...but the upside is we can add it to our record! Kidding! Aww, well, hot damn. I guess there's no point in living then, since I've already missed my chance with those cupcakes. LOL Kidding! Haha, okay. Don't try to give me Kalteen bars, though. I know what they do. Oh, you mean British fanny pack. Because "British fanny" is still derriere fanny, only British.
Posted Oct 11, 2009 7:52 pm PT
Oh, that's good! How come everything we do fails? You've been dead the whole time.. you haven't lived until you have eaten those cupcakes. Don't worry, you can just eat butter and cheese fries. Okay I'm just going to be straightforward and say that I meant the vagina
Posted Oct 12, 2009 12:53 am PT
I don't know, it baffles me, as well. I mean, nothing I do ever fails, but everything WE do does. And now I think I know why. Kidding! LOL, I'm going to have to go back and try them one day then. Oh, so we both meant the same meaning of fanny! For a bit I was getting confused with the British and the derrière stuff.
Posted Oct 12, 2009 3:07 pm PT
I don't like what you're insinuating. Maybe we succeeded so much that we failed. Yeah, that makes sense.
Posted Oct 13, 2009 7:27 pm PT
Yes, that is so it. Subconsciously, we sabotage ourselves to contain our awesomeness.
