Couple of minutes ago I have finished righting Oblivion review. Here it is http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/theelderscrollsivoblivion/player_review.html?id=412027 . It's funny but I have given it a 6.7 The rest of reviewers didn't give less than 9.0 Imho Oblivion isn't that good. It's no near of AAA level. Are people so easily hyped up?

I haven't played the game myself so I don't know how good it is, but I applaud your courage to go against the crowd. You got my recommendation, however, I wonder why you would play Oblivion for such a long time even though you don't really like it? Did you think it was going to get better after the first 100 hours?

I played it so long due to the TES magic factor. I realy like this universum and games made in it. However I tried to write the review for person who didn't play any TES games. Fan will play this game for 100 hours and even despite of the drawbacks he will enjoy the game. It's possible that future TES fan will cry on spending 50$ on this game. In my opinion Oblivion is the most overrated game of year 2006. I think that Mr. Kasavin was playing too short to notice lacks of this production. Oblivion is like a barbie doll girl. For the first couple of hours it casts a spell on you. After this time you start to see more and more drawbacks.

sorry my friend, I couldn't agree with the review... you are right that auto-leveling can be annoying, but they did that because in most RPGs all you have to do is level your character really high, get some powerful weapons, and then you can easily beat any enemy in the game. With Oblivion they make it much tougher to try that approach, which I thought made the game more challenging.

Don't be sorry. It's good when people have diffrent opinions. I have a feeling that you where writing mostly about eastern rpgs. I completed few, and you are exactly right. Those games are based on leveling up. But some of western RPGs are different. KoTOR1,2 , Jade Empire, Baldurs Gate 1,2. There you are not bound to gain levels but due to gaining experience you are rewarded. If the difficulty level is developed well than even at the end of the game you are not powerfull enough to kill final bosses easily.

Sorry, I think your missing the big picture about the entire game.
