So I started the TV evening watching The Biggest Loser while eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's. Well OK, a half bag of cheese popcorn. But only cause I don't have any B&J's on hand. I'd never watched the show and I mostly hate Reality, but I thought I'd check it out. I do like Wassername. I'd like to see her more. I could only stand to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch if she was on the screen.

Criminal Minds was a rerun. It was giving me anxiety to watch it knowing what was going to happen so I watched part of Mythbusters. A while back the Jump The Shark site said that Mythbusters had jumped. I didn't think a show like that could jump, but I think I was wrong. It's lost it's edge, imo.

Anywho, I then watched Futurama. I think I may have seen all of the episodes there are of Futurama There aren't that many, really.

Now I'm watching the second half of Cold Case; a show which irritates me but I watch anyway hoping it will be less irritating cause I really like the concept but it never is less irritating.

I've been in Heaven the last few weeks TNT has been running X-files from midnight till like 6am. I'd fall asleep watching them on Mondays and Tuesdays. I hate it when they change the X-files repeat schedule. They didn't start till 2am last night and they don't start till 1am tonight. I'll be awake for the beginning. They're into the way-post-shark era. Some of the eps are watchable but I mostly hate them. They shoulda ended the show when Duchovny quit or they shoulda committed fully to the new characters. The way they dragged it out was like eating cotton balls.

Now I'm watching Cold Case Files which is fortunately on during that hour I have to kill before X-files starts. I first got hooked on CSIs and other fictional crime shows. I started with L&Os but got tired of them quickly. I don't care about the law part. And at first I couldn't distinguish between CSIs and L&Os but as I watched them, the differences became more clear and I definately favo(u)r CSIs.

Which reminds me, how about that Canadian Thing. I wish we could just call and election when our government colapses.

And Mary Lou Finlay is retiring: As it Happens. I used to listen to that show all the time before I moved here and got a TV. Now I mostly have no idea what's happening in Canada. Mary Lou Finlay sounded like she must smoke a couple pack a day. Both of them did actually. I loved it.

Ben and Jerry's... Yum! My favorite is Oatmeal Cookie Chunk.

I agree about the X-Files. The post-shark era annoyed and bugged me so much that it almost spoiled the pre-shark era for me.

"I think I may have seen all of the episodes there are of Futurama There aren't that many, really."

I would consisder 72 episodes to be quite a lot. I know I have seen them all as I have all four volumes

"They shoulda ended the show when Duchovny quit"

Since they didn't stop, I watched the first three episodes without him and then gave up on the show. I now refuse to rewatch the series even though several stations are re-airing all the episodes in the original order. It's like when you find out the killer in a bad mystery novel, there is no replay value.

"I definately favo(u)r CSIs."

A lot of people do. I favour equally and watch CSI, CSI:Miami, L&O, L&O:SVU and L&O:CI. I like them all for different reasons but about equally.

As for the election, our government fell apart last year, but the NDP kept the Tories from calling an election. It's not that easy to get an election here. It's even worse since we'll likely end up with the same government that we've already got.

I wish that the US could call elections too! Heck, I'd vote! 2C's right though... we'll undoubtedly end up with the same government that we have now, 'cause the alternatives just aren't viable.

Then again, if the Conservatives win, I may have to go back to Japan!

I also didn't like the X-Files post Duchovney, (sp? too lazy to check! ) but I'd still watch the early ones over again!

I don't own the Futuramas. It's on my Amazon wish list though. As it happens there's a episode on right now that I'm not sure I've seen. Maybe I just haven't seen the beginning. It's about "Freedom Day". I think there maybe more episodes toward the end of the run that I haven't seen.

"I'm swelling with Patriotic Mucus!" Zoidberg just ate the flag. I have seen this one from here on out.

And by not that many episodes I guess I'm comparing it to, say, The Simpsons. It was killed after only 5 seasons some of which weren't complete seasons. But you knew that.

I haven't watched Mythbusters in awhile, but I always enjoyed it. Maybe I should tune in and see what you mean about it. I never thought a show like that could Jump the Shark either.

I agree about X-Files. It's one of my favorite shows, but they should've stopped when David left. I'll watch all the episodes, though. Even the later ones.

The X files should have stopped while they were ahead.

I actually liked the Biggest Loser this year. It was very inspiring. As for Canada, that system seems pretty good but our media is so good at scare tactics that we'd be changing governments every two weeks or so. But still, four years is along time for someone to have a job with virtually no way of being fired. They should shorten it a bit.
