Well I am officially depressed and why wouldn't I be given the state of the world? Being an aspiring video game designer it gets me down to hear the HotSpot guys talk about the new game studio closing or the thousands of layoffs. What makes my situation worse is the fact that my major requires me to find Co-ops or internships, for credit hours, in the field of work I want to go into after school. How am I expected to find an internship, when game studios are suffering so much? I mean the only option I have run across is EA (who currently are hiring interns to make up for all the layoffs) and thy are based in California which, is 3,000 miles away from me. Don't get me wrong EA would be an amazing job, I really like everything they do. However, it would still be nice to have a few options. If anyone has any advice for me, it would be welcome.
