Like most European gamers, I am outraged. Too long have we suffered. Too long have we just been left on the sidelines. Well I’ve had it.

In the year 2002, my Playstation 1 was on its last legs, having done me a good job for many years. And one day, it finally gave up. So I decided to get a Playstation 2. At first I was stunned at the variety of games. From action games such as metal gear solid 2, all the way to driving games such as gran turismo 3. That same year, I seen a gamecube and decided to treat myself. It was my first Nintendo console and once again, I was stunned. However, when 2004 came, my view began to change.

Suddenly, Gamecube games were going out of stock, and there were almost no PS2 games out that were remotely interesting. I asked the store clerk why there was such little GC stock in, his response was simple. He said to me “nobody likes Europe”. He then went on to say that Nintendo had no real love for European gamers and were only really interested in Japan and America. And he couldn’t have been more right. I now have to travel more than 40 miles to look at Gamecube games. And that store is starting to cancel there orders as well by the looks of it. I have never really looked to Microsoft except in computers, so I couldn’t pass any judgment on them. But I turned back to my Playstation 2 for some comfort. I wasn’t happy. At the moment, I am STILL waiting for Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, and until recently Kingdom Hearts 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. So, the question is, what am I waiting for? The answer is simple.  Four or five different languages which I’ll never use. Besides that, most Europeans learn English anyway.

What’s made things worse, Sony has now said that we cannot import our Playstation 3’s. I didn’t mind the fact that we couldn’t get a PS3 until March, but now we can’t import? Well, that made my mind up. I decided to use my PS3 fund on a new computer and I don’t regret it. I will probably get a Wii because of its low cost but I would still be afraid of another gamecube scenario where there are no more games in stock a few years after I but it. The thing I’m really cross about is the new Playstation 1 emulator for PSP. We cannot download any PS1 games when v3.00 (which contains the emulator) is released. You have to have a PS3 (according to my sources anyway) to download the games straight away. But hold on, I can’t get a PS3. That’s twice Sony have let me down and Nintendo don’t care.

European gamers have the same rights as other gamers do. We don’t deserve this. As I said at the start of this blog, I’ve had it.

While I agree whole heartedly, you do get SOME perks, I mean you got a freakin' black DS Lite and have better box art for Christ's sake! [end sarcasm/]. Yeah, I know it sucks for you guys over there. But when you say you can't import a PS3, what do you mean you can't? Because I know a site shipping out JAP Consoles worldwide as we speak. (PM for link) But the shortage of good GC games has sort of happened here in the states alittle too. (I'm not sure but for me it seems that way) The only titles I ever see in stores is some Naruto bs or [insert sports game] 2006/7. Don't worry, it seems at the moment that the Wii will have more titles, and the popularity the console seems to be atracting should warrant higher stocks for the gamers like you. And I could see why they might 'not care about you', and don't take this the wrong way at all. But I think (and I could be entirely wrong), but there is more money to be earned by them in Japan and North America, being that the population of gamers is much higher in those contries, once again I could be, and most likely am, entirely wrong about that, but that could be why they don't care, because the comapanies only care about money as you know. And I agree, you do deserve everything just like everyone else. It really sucks, hopfuly things will eventualy go well though in the end for you.

Look,man.

Nintendo cares about European gamers, but the games have to start somewhere. If they start here in North America, then it goes like this:United States,Canada,Europe(I'm, not sure of the order involoving the European Countries).

Adamstir may have been sarcastic, but he's right. You guys get some better box art with certain games and I'd love a black DS too,but I live in Canada and we don't have that stuff.

So just chill out and look at the bright side.

Well he means more that they won't stock European stores as much as they will in other countries. Which is true from what I've heard. He also has to wait longer for no reason, it shouldn't take that long to add some extra languages to games. And as far as I'm concered, I think Great Britan should get the NTSC version of games.

I have only one big thing to say, i agree with you guys. I don`t know if it is a coincidence, but here in South America no good GC can be found. This it what happens when i call the store ... Hello, hmmm sir what are the latest GC games. He says ... Chicken Little, Over The Hedge, Cars. *END OF CONVERSTION* WTF, look at those games, i mean when do good games arrive, wanna know ... NEVER Do you wanna know something...ok here it goes: RE2, RE3nemesis, RECV, those games never arrived at the store, the only game i have seen of those is RE3nemesis, but in another place. Nintendo should be more aware of games and not only in JP and North America, but everywere theysell the console. Microsoft and Sony have more games and when there is a good game for Nintendo you also have it for Microsoft or for Sony, or even worst, BOTH. Nintendo also needs more exclusive games, and good exclusive games. Well i think this is all i have to say.

Well Luis, that isn't just South America, the games you listed are rare everywhere, they only printed them in limited quantities, it took me forever to get those three you mentioned. And also, the other three that you said were the new games they get, well that is true everywhere too, because, quite frankly, as far as new games that came out in the last few months that were good, well, there were none, so don't feel bad there.

Well maybe i overreacted, but anyways i think the problem is with Nintendo consoles and its games.

To an extent, yes. But the Wii is poised to change that from the looks of it. Everyone seems so excited about it.

I hope so .......

Barryburton, you need to start playing more exclusive games like Metroid,Fire Emblem,Advance/Battalion Wars,Castlevania(it's partially exclusive)

Nintendo's best games are only for Nintendo consoles and Handhelds.

I can sympathize with you a bit, but since US gamers get treated pretty well, I have no right to complain. Americans complain about how Japanese gamers getting everything first and usually some loot with it as well. European gamers get angry at American gamers b/c we complain, but we don't have to wait as long for stuff as you guys do. Why, in this global economy of ours, can't developers and publishers (as well as the big three) have a global, unified strategy? Is that too much to ask?

I would love britain to be included in NTSC releases so we don't have to wait. But let me tell you now GMAN32X, it's not just a bit longer we have to wait. Were not getting FFXII until late 2007 to my knowledge.

For Scorpinox1989
I have played Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, Fire Emblem, and Batallion Wars, but not Castlevania.
From the games above i owe Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, which is pretty long ,and Batallion Wars, which is a little short.

Well, you're missing out big time on Castlevania.
