Like most European gamers, I am outraged. Too long have we suffered. Too long have we just been left on the sidelines. Well I’ve had it.
In the year 2002, my Playstation 1 was on its last legs, having done me a good job for many years. And one day, it finally gave up. So I decided to get a Playstation 2. At first I was stunned at the variety of games. From action games such as metal gear solid 2, all the way to driving games such as gran turismo 3. That same year, I seen a gamecube and decided to treat myself. It was my first Nintendo console and once again, I was stunned. However, when 2004 came, my view began to change.
Suddenly, Gamecube games were going out of stock, and there were almost no PS2 games out that were remotely interesting. I asked the store clerk why there was such little GC stock in, his response was simple. He said to me “nobody likes Europe”. He then went on to say that Nintendo had no real love for European gamers and were only really interested in Japan and America. And he couldn’t have been more right. I now have to travel more than 40 miles to look at Gamecube games. And that store is starting to cancel there orders as well by the looks of it. I have never really looked to Microsoft except in computers, so I couldn’t pass any judgment on them. But I turned back to my Playstation 2 for some comfort. I wasn’t happy. At the moment, I am STILL waiting for Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, and until recently Kingdom Hearts 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. So, the question is, what am I waiting for? The answer is simple. Four or five different languages which I’ll never use. Besides that, most Europeans learn English anyway.
What’s made things worse, Sony has now said that we cannot import our Playstation 3’s. I didn’t mind the fact that we couldn’t get a PS3 until March, but now we can’t import? Well, that made my mind up. I decided to use my PS3 fund on a new computer and I don’t regret it. I will probably get a Wii because of its low cost but I would still be afraid of another gamecube scenario where there are no more games in stock a few years after I but it. The thing I’m really cross about is the new Playstation 1 emulator for PSP. We cannot download any PS1 games when v3.00 (which contains the emulator) is released. You have to have a PS3 (according to my sources anyway) to download the games straight away. But hold on, I can’t get a PS3. That’s twice Sony have let me down and Nintendo don’t care.
European gamers have the same rights as other gamers do. We don’t deserve this. As I said at the start of this blog, I’ve had it.

Nintendo cares about European gamers, but the games have to start somewhere. If they start here in North America, then it goes like this:United States,Canada,Europe(I'm, not sure of the order involoving the European Countries).
Adamstir may have been sarcastic, but he's right. You guys get some better box art with certain games and I'd love a black DS too,but I live in Canada and we don't have that stuff.
So just chill out and look at the bright side.
Nintendo's best games are only for Nintendo consoles and Handhelds.
I have played Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, Fire Emblem, and Batallion Wars, but not Castlevania.
From the games above i owe Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, which is pretty long ,and Batallion Wars, which is a little short.
