It has recently come to my attention that StarGate Atlantis is to be canceled after only five seasons. This saddens me as it seems that all the good sci-fis are being shot down left and right due to cost. Is it too much for these franchises to keep making good shows for us to watch. First Paramount completely killed Star Trek, and now MGM wants to take Atlantis from us too. What is with these people that they cannot see that we want these shows? We want good wholesome sci-fis that we can watch as a family, shows that we can let our children watch, and say "See, that is going to be us someday. We're going to be doing the things they are doing." Well, that won't be happening for much longer at this rate. Soon there will be nothing left but reality television because this is all the film companies will want to spend their money on; things that don't cost much and require even less thought. Let us have our sci-fis, I say. Let us keep what little good is left on television.

These reality shows that are littering our television stations are ruining america's concept of television. Whatever happened to the times when a show had to have some plot to it, or better yet, when they had morals that we could all learn something from. Television today is a collection of crappy shows about people's lives I could really care less about, and I am sure there are others who feel the same. Why do I want to watch another season of the bachalor when all it is going to be is a bunch of obviously airheaded women (come on girls, if you have to get on national tv to get a man, there is obviously something wrong with you) throwing themselves at a guy who truly doesn't care about them (when you have twenty five women who will happily throw themselves at you, why should you care). If you want to learn about taking care of your kids, read a book. If you want to know what it's like to live with another woman who is not your wife, there is something wrong with you in the first place.

Me? Give me a good old fashion show that let's me drift away into an imagined world that lets me go an hour later to go back to my life, not something that is going to disgust me and leave me with an angry feeling that I have wasted my time and that the people who made these shows have wasted a lot of other people's time as well. Are we so dense anymore that the only thing that can entertain us is the lives of other people? Are we, as a society, so stupid that we are now unable to grasp the concept of a plot? Is watching a fictious show so difficult that we would rather stare dumbly at this box on our entertainment stand, watching couples yell at each other, or even worse, couples who aren't even married yelling at each other. Where is the morality of these shows, worse yet, where is our own morality?

I've only seen her on Babylon 5, but she was one of my favorite actresses for quite some time. I loved her character, Delenn. She was so wonderful at showing compassion and still being a good, hard leader. I loved how she pulled this off, and...

One of my favorites, I loved him on SG-1. I do wish he hadn't left for the sixth season. I loved the compassion and caring his character displayed. I liked how he was always the voice of morality, regardless of the situation. I would have...

Perhaps one of my favorite actors. I loved him in MacGyver, and could not get enough of him in SG-1. He always brought an air of amusement to the character of Colonel Jack O'Neill (Spelled with two l's) that I just loved. It truly disappointed...

Easily, easily, easily one of my favorite actors of all times, even though the only thing I've seen him in has been Star Trek Enterprise. I would love to get my hands on his other works. I loved his facial expressions. I loved his timing. I...

My personal favorite of all the talented people starring on Atlantis. I was sadden, or perhaps I should say devisated, when she was taken off the show. She was such a strong and powerful leader, unlike most women leaders I have seen in science...

sfloreen must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could sfloreen possibly have for not rating a single film?
