The Terminator TV show is decent, but ... depressing. Everybody on the show is morose and pensive all the time. They really need to add some more humor or fun action to the show. And I don't think they can afford much action.
I think it's a decent concept. And I know they are trying to be artsy/angsty. It's just a kind of depressing show to watch. Maybe if they made John Connor be a little bit of a feisty, I'm invincible, teenager. That way he could enjoy having a super robot bodyguard and all the cool adventures they have. Instead he's like a shell-shocked war veteran. He constantly looks traumatized.

The way John acts is the way most teenagers would act when faced with the type of life he's living. Most people would go crazy, not just shellshocked. He's young, he's trying and he's learning, and I can't wait to see how much more his character develops in the show. The fact that he's not light and funny makes the show more real. Cameron's the humor in the show. A computer trying to act human and crack jokes. Tight!
