It seems that the PC has lost many of its exclusive titles to the consoles since 2006. I think the loss of Half Life 2 (and its mods etc) in 2007 was a big shocker to many PC fanboys. Consoles at the moment (especially the Xbox 360) seem to be taking most of the PC's best titles (multiplat). PC based series' like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout seem to have gone the multiplat route. I have no clue if the PC will regain its former glory. I'm not worried however, as I enjoy the best of both worlds owning a PC and an Xbox 360.

Consoles are getting more popular but so is PC gaming, they don't really cancel eachother out at the end of the day. Plus PC gaming can never really die. Unless Mac takes over

Games are getting more expensive and consoles are now reaching PC like standards and quality. Yes, you have games like Crysis that can do better graphics and physics but since no one has a good enough PC to play it, then it doesn't matter. Gaming is becoming less about hardware and more about getting non gamers into playing. Since consoles are for the mainstream, developers want their games on systems where more people can play them. FPS and real tims strategy games are best on PC where as racing, fighting, and adventure/platformers are best played on console. Each one has it's strengths and weaknesses.
