GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

I've decided to make a weekly blog... just to keep my blog updated. Actually I had planned to do it yesterday but forgot, as I was busy writing a review for Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords which you can read here. Read and reccomend it if you like it. It is quite long and objective but I've quite a lot of info into it.

Games

I've been playing Dead Space for about a week now and I'm nearing the end. And what a game! It surely takes the top honours of its genre.

Books

Got the Inheritance trilogy(Eragon series) the day before yesterday and have started reading the first book Eragon. The plot's delving deeper but I've hardly grazed the surface. I also bought another book 'One Night at a Call Centre' by Chetan Bhagat... an Indian author. It's supposedly a good book but I don't know how many ppl have heard of it.

Movies

Now what did I watch last week... ah yes! I watched Departed. Great movie. Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon literally smoked the scenes with their great acting. Even though Di Caprio was good, I felt he could have done better as he is capable of more.

Gamespot and E3

No, this is not a detailed E3 analysis, so don't cringe. I watched the Microsoft and Nintendo press conferences. Nintendo's wasn't very interesting(God, some of their presenters looked lioke they were in terrible pain) but MS sizzled. I've got high hopes for Modern Warfare 2 and I'm also intrigued by Project Natal. Good going MS, but get your consoles fixed first before you go for new ventures.
Accursed GS has not given me the Nintendo emblem yet and I wonder if they're even gonna give it. Maybe they'll eat it just as they did for my Best of Gamespot 2008 emblem.

In other things, my college has begun as I said in my previous blog and is taking a toll on my time. I also joined a new union... Bookspot(and they've already made me an officer. Not good news, is it? )

See ya, next week

I'm still looking into playing Dead Space but there are so many other games that I need to beat right now. I still have yet to see Departed but my parents really liked it and said I should check it out. Congrats on the union! I'm starting to read a lot of the Tom Clancy books based off of the game series. (Splinter Cell, EndWar, and Ghost Recon)

Haven't watched/read/played any of those movies/books/games. Oh well. Good to see that you find time to do a lot of things out of the tight schedule of college. Hugs

Damon and Nicholson are great actors - Di Caprio is supposedly good but I have seen him in a lot of shows and to me his main asset is that he looks younger than he is. When he was 25 he got an award for the actor that "looks the most like a 13 year old girl" and IMO acts that way too

Work - school - too many unimportant items from real life waste our time so we can't spend it on the things that really count - like video games and posting at Gamespot

@pspdemoboy52: Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon... EndWar!? Man, you MUST play Dead Space. It's THE game to be played.
And you must watch Departed too.

@boo-moo: You must watch/read/play them . Anyway, it's just starting so there's been relatively less to do in/for college as of now.

@iowastate: 'looks the most like a 13 year old girl" and IMO acts that way too'!!! His acting was good in Blood Diamond, tho.

I'm not saying Leo ain't good - but like most Hollywood "pretty boys" he probably thinks he is a lot better than he is. and Eragon? I liked the book better than the game.

I didn't watch anything of E3, but there were a few games that interest me (The Last Guardian, Forza Motorsport 3, Splinter Cell: Conviction).

@gagan21: I've reported the missing emblem and yeah... MW2's gonna rock! w00t!

@iowastate: I understand. Is there an Eragon game? Huh! Why do ppl milk a successful franchise till it bleeds

@kingkilla3: Splinter Cell was a little interesting, but only a little(to me)

you did not know about Eragon? It was another one that was talked about but forgotten soon after it came out. Too soon after the movie another that got rushed through development to take advantage of the fans that had just seen the show

@iowastate: Nope. Never knew that there was a game
