I signed up. This means that, if all goes according to plan, I will have written a novel by December 1. I never wanted to write a novel, but since I write every day anyway (theoretically), I decided it couldn't hurt to try. Since I seem to write a short story every three months, I just have to up my output level by 45 times! But since my dad and my boyfriend are participating too, hopefully I'll have enough support to avoid going crazy....

What's NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month, a novel-writing program that apparently has tens of thousands of participants every November. The idea is to throw caution to the wind and write 50,000 words in a month, and worry about editing later.

I do hope this works, even taking into consideration that I'm going to Disney World later in the month and we're finally getting cable today (of all days)....

Ah. That explains why a certain friend of mine can't stop shouting it. Trounce her for me, will you?
