I was really disappointed when "Threshold" didn't get picked up because I thought that series also had an interesting premise, and I found Brent Spiner's character possessed lots of major potential. Unfortunately, once again the networks were asleep at the pool...uh...wheel, and passed on what would probably have been a great thing.
At any rate, I have missed seeing him in front of the camera, and hope that he finds another vehicle which satisfies his particular creative style.

I can't think of anything I have seen him in that I didn't like or at least appreciate his talent. I have not yet seen his "Captain Ahab" but I bet he's like no other before or since!
The only thing better than what I've seen to date would be a live West End performance. I was THIS close, but no joy. Its still high on my list of "100 things to do before I die"... ;o}

I think he has made "Walter Bishop " THE break-out character of this TV season. Such a complex character brought to life with such honest simplicity...and I don't mean "simple" in terms of intellect or performance...in fact I think anyone who can make a character like this flow so easily is quite brilliant.
I think if there is not at least an EMMY nomination waiting for John Noble next year, that the fix is quite definitely in, in Hollywood!

Adding Sean Murray to an already strong NCIS was a brilliant idea. His character's strength is in his relative normalcy; when compared to all the other cast misfits. I love the dichotomy of "McGeek's" naivete and gentle soul while he manages to develop into a superior crime fighter in a sick and twisted world.
I find he and Michael Weatherly make their characters interact brilliantly, and I love the banter...which I personally don't find troublesome, because there is definite camaraderie there. In a similar fashion, I love his awkwardness yet protectiveness with "Abby" as well.
You don't often find entire casts that gel this way, and I believe Sean Murray lucked into a great thing in the past, when he guested on JAG several times. He was an obvious and perfect choice for the spin-off NCIS, and Bellisario rarely misses a beat in that regard. I think there will be a lot more great things to see from this fine young actor.

As effective as he is when taking a guest apart with comic barbs and insightful jabs...but jabs nonetheless...he is absolutely deadly when he does the same with deadpan seriousness. He is intelligent and insightful and articulate, and whether you agree with him or not (I usually do, though not always) you have to acknowledge his grip on world issues.
He's very entertaining as well as thought provoking when his "grip" is tightly on someone's (figurative) delicate bits, but he's a work of art when he's dead serious.
Oh, and P.S. Jon: yes, Canada gas a "guestbook", and a "pre-game show" is okay with me too...after all, thats all I watch of...I dunno...say, The Oscars??!! ;o}

But Eleventh Hour has really grown on me, and I can't say specifically why. Certainly the supporting character (Marley Shelton)is marginal at best...so far...and yet I fault the network program creators and writers for that as it seems to be a common theme in most new shows this season. They don't seem to complete the development process before rushing a show to air (no more cast cohesiveness from the start a la NCIS or CSI) I assume, believing they can just yank the thing from the air if it doesn't hit instantly. (I assume most H'wood creators/writers/producers are similarly ruthless in their own real-lives).
At any rate, I think the premise of the series and the strength of the somewhat indefinable hook provided by Sewell will win out. He's a good, strong actor and has a lot of presence in this role. I hope he and this show hit, because I am certainly along for the ride.
CBS: get some supporting character development in there ASAP. Show the other networks/shows that you remember HOW to use the magic...

I've been watching Adam 12 reruns lately, and have also bought some of the Route 66 DVD's as well as some of his old movies. "Sweet Smell of Success" was a superb film-noir, though the story for my hero was not a happy one. Even as a 14 year old freckle faced boy in "Life with Father", he was a cutie...I still think HE should have got Elizabeth Taylor in that movie...
If you look at his IMDb bio, he was really doing a lot of work throughout his career and yet I don't believe he ever got the recognition he deserved. On the other hand, from what Milner himself says about his career, he did get all the satisfaction he wanted, and I guess in the end that makes him better than most.
I think so, anyway... :o}

I love the edge he brings to the caped crusader, and the intense, just-below-the-surface element he gives "Bruce Wayne" as well. The paradox that is the man-hero was never more perfectly woven as with Bale's (and Christopher Nolan's, of course!)interpretation.
I am busily trying to catch up on other, more recent roles but I did love him in "Little Women" and then something/someone as completely different as his role in "The Prestige".
I think his diverse performance abilities are incredible and I know we will be seeing much more of him in the future. The deep, dark "stuff" is a given, but I'd like to see him in some lighter fare as well. I think he's got the chops and it takes lots of chops to do comedy well!

"Chegwidden" kind of reminds me of "Jethro Gibbs" and both of them are my kind of character!

I loved JAG and the Admiral was one of my favourite characters. He was like the anchor for the series, seemingly in control of an out of control group of navy-lawyer types, running interference for them and for the right. He kept "the dark side" at bay.
I have seen a few other tid-bits of John Jackson here and there but I miss him on a regular basis and I was totally disappointed on how his departure from JAG was handled. He could have...SHOULD have...gone with a bit more flare whether "The Admiral" would have liked it or not!
He could totally carry a series on his own and someone needs to wake up and smell the potential Emmy! At least some NCIS episodes for instance?
Just a thought...

Whomever on the NCIS creative team envisioned this character, and then cast Pauley Perrett in the part was a genius with admirable foresight.
Of course, it was and is up to Pauley to bring the character to life and that she does. I enjoy all the characters (and their flaws) on this show, but "Abby", via Pauley, is a true stand-out.
I have also watched her on Craig Ferguson, and while its true he can get the best out of anyone, I was happy to see that bubbly personality was real as well as contrived for a well-loved character.

When I look at some of the "actors" out there on commercially if not critically successful series, and then see Nathan excelling at performance after performance on what I believe to be great, imaginative but CANCELED shows...well, I just don't understand "the biz". Nor, apparently, does "the biz" understand me and what I want to see.
Nathan will win out. He is so talented and capable of such character diversity, I know the right vehicle will come along. And I will be watching.

I have not seen this actress in anything other than Fringe so far, but she along with a really fine and cohesive cast of characters, really drives the series to one of this season's best offerings, I think.
Anna Torv, without a great deal of prior international exposure, seems to have mastered the North American TV drama realm and I would not be one bit surprised to see her name associated with an Emmy win next season...
...If there really is a "pattern", that is!! HA!

The Mentalist initially interested me in the strength of his character and performance alone. Since then the other aspects of the cast and story have begun to develop nicely, but I doubt without Simon's presence I would have been around to see it.
He has an uncanny way of making this viewer at least, feel as though I'm an actual part of the proceedings and so the commercials often come as a surprise. And thats what good performance is all about!
I don't know what the future holds for his show next season, but his success in a performance career is a given, and many of us will be watching. Those eyes of his will accept nothing less...

After watching the NCIS "pilot" during JAG and really appreciating the episode, I promptly forgot about it. It was only this past summer that I began watching reruns of NCIS and managed to pretty much catch-up before this season started. My opinion of this character over the summer went from, "what a crusty old poop" to "he can solve my case any day"..."Gibbs" is such an intriguing character and attractive in that you really want the writers to get to the bottom of what makes him tick...can't help it. Its a chick thing!
I now find myself searching out some of his older roles to remind myself that Mark Harmon has always been great; I've just been slow!

...but once I started watching Moonlight I really began to like his character Josef, and thought there was much more potential to the character than the first episodes allowed for. Sleeping Beauty gave a glimpse into the deeper Josef but Fated to Pretend was a grand slam!
The best scenes in that episode were with "Mick" and "Josef" and really solidify the relationship the two characters have in an up-to-now hidden back story. It has put their past into perspective and set up for what will hopefully be a great second season.
I did also find Veronica Mars in reruns and while the story is a bit young for me, Jason plays a real jerk with amazingly the same likability present for Josef.
I think this young man has a great future ahead of him...but for now I just want to see more Josef vamped out!

In his characterization of Tanya Huff's Henry Fitzroy, Kyle has breathed enhanced life into one of the three best vamps on TV today!
The supernatural aspect of Blood Ties sets it and therefore "Henry" apart from other vampires and vampire shows. But the story line for Henry and indeed all the Blood Ties characters, is so rich and deep that the supernatural almost takes a back seat to the characters themselves. I love this particular role of Kyle's first and foremost, and quite selfishly, I hope we get to see more of it before he hangs up his fangs for good.
I have seen other guest roles and movie roles he has done and from what I can see, he should have a really bright future in the business. I will be cheering for him!
