Just a thought i've had. While i am not condoning this i have realised that songs that are ordinary but promoting an idea i dont mind so much as long as i agree with their point. For example the track emo kid by... ok i cant be bothered finding out who its by, but its a great track mostly cause it pays out on emos and i agree that emos should be paid out on.  I'm sorry if you happen to be emo... but if you are get over it, ohh i cut myself and have black hair and look depressed all day whoopty doo. Congratulations. Sorry emos just frustrate me, if you wanna be hardcore do it right and become goth not some comercial inbetween thing. But yeah if i agreed with mclars views on the music industry i might have been able to put up with his less then ordinary contributions to the air waves.

What is it that offends people about emos where other groups such as the goths you mentioned do not. Maybe you dont like or agree with what they do or how they look or whatever but what makes them any worse for you to want to "pay out" on them as you so distinctly put it. I am not emo so this is me getting my back up or defensive. But I would just like to know why you think this way about them before I take what you say fully on board.

Part of it is a group thing, i'm bogan white trash and that by nature puts me on not good terms with emos. Emo has always had the pretences of being depressed but not actually bein that dark. And mostly their just whiney. The song emo kid has most of the reasons.

Its an austrailian version of white, trailer trash essentially. Wikipedia has a good definition, however reading it i realised i'm really not that much of a bogan.
