There I was yesterday evening, sat in one of our armchairs reading the paper.Next thing I know I reach across to pick something up off the nearby table and glance down. There on the arm of the chair, making it's way onto my arm,was a FREAKING SPIDER!!

It wasn't a little tiny thing either.Huge house spider walking onto my arm!!!! To say I freaked was an understatement.I leapt up off the chair sending the paper and tv remote flying, flung my arm around, screamed "GET IT OFF ME!!!!" over and over and started to have a panic attack, shaking something terrible.

I hate spiders.Quite content to watch them on tv,but as soon as I'm in the same room as one.....Oooooh no.

Eventually mum and I realised it wasn't on me anymore and proceeded to look in the chair, fly swat at the ready.Well she did.I was bent double trying to breathe.Trouble is I saw it on the floor but couldn't catch my breath enough to tell her so had to point.By the time she figured what I was saying it had scuttled off somewhere. Now we can't find it and I will NOT sit in the chair again.

Oh what an eventful evening.

A very rattled,and still slightly shaking,Sarah. xxxx

Lol, sounds like something I would do. Even in the same room tho, I can handle a spider. As long as I have time to tell someone to kill it before it gets close to me. But if it was crawling on my arm I would freak! And yeah, if its not killed before it runs off, I would be scared to be in that room for a long time. Not sure where it got off to.

While I am fascinated by spiders I have yet to watch Arachnophobia all the way through...

But I did manage to pick one of these out the bath the other day. (Lousy pictures. But it'll be what you had.) It kept running off my hand and it took a lot of courage to dive back in and try again. But I managed.

And the good news: yours would have been a male looking for a mate - so he'll be long gone by now, and, if he's really unlucky, he'll have been eaten by a female. *gulp*

Yike! Not a fan of spider either. I hit one on my bathroom ceiling, it fell somewhere near my toilet and I can't find it. I'm paranoid every time I sit down now! LOL

Glad you've come through it ok. I got up once and put my dressing gown on walked down to the kitchen looked down and saw a spider crawling up the dressing gown - I screamed and screamed, my hubby dashed in and got it but the neighbours were knocking on the door wondering what had happened! At least they didn't call the police!!! In my opinion the only good spider is either miles away from me or dead!
