Well I was gone for a few weeks from gamespot. I don't really think anyone noticed but I wanted to try and stay away for a while but I only made it like a few weeks. I kinda got frustrated with things on here and needed a break. I was playing a bunch of games in the meantime. Tried re5, ufc, and batman arkham asylum while I was gone. Re5 and ufc were ok but not great. Batman was really fun but hella short. All of these were rentals. I also got myself a dualshock 3 and wireless guitar for the ps3 from amazon. Both came out to be 43 bucks I think.
Anyways on to the bad news. My ps3 stopped reading discs! Perfect timing eh? With the uncharted 2 gamestop demo coming a week or so from now too. Argh i'm really upset about this. It feels like someone killed my child or something. Haha. It can still play the downloaded games but still...I will have to fork over the 150 bucks since I have a 40 gigger and its been like 2 years a.ready. I don't know if I have the money to fix it at the moment. Maybe I should wait till the uncharted beta is over before I send it in. Or maybe I should just save some money up for a slim. Or even I should go as far as to see how much an unlicensed repair place will fix it for. Ah fajita!!!!! Why does god hate me soo?? Or since i'm an Atheist should I wonder " Why does the nothingness hate me so?!!?!"?

I would check to see if you can just put in a laser lense yourself, that's what I would do.
Good luck getting it fixed! Great games you've played. Didn't you play RE5 via co-op? It's seriously the best way to play. My brother and I went through the entire thing twice, while BenderUnit22 and I went through most of it on Professional so far.
And too bad for your ps3, i would go for the slim though
Ouch. Anyway... Really, Batman, a rental for you... No reply value? I am looking forward to purchasing the game, being a batman fan myself. 
Dualshock 3 is great. Although not much improvement, expect is wireless but certainly 'feels' better when playing a game that supports rumble features... Like in RE5 when firing the guns off... Makes the kill more satisfying.
Sorry about your PS3. I think you should safe up and ring sony about the repair instead going for a unofficial place. At least with Sony, anything goes wrong, again, you have a guarantee that in one way or another you can seek a remedy. Or, of course, like you're already thinking about it, is to go for the slim. However, personally, I am not too fond of the design of the Slim version.
I mean, I never saw you on, so if you were on, I didn't know. Hope youg et it fixed asap.

You got a wireless guitar? Do you even have one of the various music games to use it with? As for your PS3, mine was/is in a similar situation. It doesn't like anything on a Bluray disc; dvds and cds work just fine though. Although for me, I was already considering picking up a slim, so that choice was easy for me. For you, I'm not sure what to suggest.
On a side note, are you still playing your Wii? I've been giving mine a lot of attention lately

Batman was fun but I had a few qualms about the game mechanics. I loved the fact that the collectibles were actually worth your time though. I am still on the fence about the ps3 slim though. @Scianix-Black

150 to repair the thing is just too much now that the price has come down to 300.
