so i know i'm jumping on the twilight train a couple months late, but i just saw the movie and i feel like i have some things to get off my chest!

i read the books back in October(already knew the movie was coming out) and i hoovered through all 4 books in just 5 days. i have always been a fan of vampire fiction, from buffy to anne rice, it all fascinates me, so i thought i'd give twilight a chance, and honestly i didnt hate it. i've read a whole lot of books in my life, so i'm pretty sure i know good literature, and quite honestly the twilight series isnt all its cracked up to be. its okey, dont get me wrong, but it isnt as good as it could be. i, like a bazillion teenage girls out there, was captivated by this human-girl/vampire-boy romance, the story had(still has) a lot of potential, and stephanie meyers DID NOT do a good enough job. but seeing as how i read all 4 books in such a short time, i can safely say i was/ am hooked.

bella is possibly the most annoying female character i've EVER encountered. she is needy and childlike, and frankly a character like edward is completely wasted on her. edward on the other hand is great, and no im not saying it because edward is supposed to be the perfect man. i say it because there are more layers to edward, and its not just him, its all the vampires(the cullens) i found it interesting that the suppress whom they truly are and dont stay true to their undead nature. the vampires are truly fascinating.

and so, after reading all the books, like everyone out there i had a big ass crush on edward and since the movie was just around the corner, i got very excited. i was very good, i didnt google or youtube any of the movie clips, i wanted the movie to be a total surprise, however i did google and youtube the hell out of the cast, and boy was that crazy. kristin stewart and robert pattionson were EVERYWHERE!!! now i dont mind seeing robert pattinson(who in their right mind would mind = but the more i saw kristin stewart the more i hated her(i was never a big fan of hers anyway) and then i realized that there was almost NOTHING on the rest of the cast. i know the books are mainly about bella and edward, but there are other people in the movie besides THEM!! i'm actually content with the casting, with a few exceptions lik:

rosalie, i believe nikki reed ONLY got this part because of her relationship with cathrine hardwick. rosalie is supposed to be the most beautiful girl EVER,and im sorry, as pretty as nikki reed is, i dont think she is pretty enough.

bella, i didnt like this character AT ALL, so it didnt really matter who was cast, my problem is with kristin stewart. i've only seen two of the movies, panic room and in the land of women, and though she was okey in panic room, i didnt like her AT ALL in in the land of women.

jacob. no offence to taylor, but this had to be someone who, by the end of the movie had to look older that bella. and taylor looks his ag, which is 16...

charlie, never really seen anything by billy burke, but he is too young to be bellas dad(in my mind) they should have cast someone older.

and so i went to see the movie today, i live in norway and the release date for the movie was set for 6 february, but the twilighters here went crazy and demanded that they change it, so the cinema people changed it to 9 january, but they had a bunch of pree screenings this weekend, and i manged to get tickets!!!

i had a huge problem, as i had built twilight so much up in my head. and spent the last twodays trying to lower my expectations(i had read a bunch of reviews, so i knew it wasnt gonna be the best movie ever), but i went to see it and i have to say i was a little disappointed. they changed sooo much of it, more than was necessary, and the dialogue, holy crap was it bad, i dont understand why they didnt just stick to the dialogue in the book.

im not a proper twilighter i have to admit. i mean i know there are more obsessed fans out there than me, but i have to say that it sucked that they changed i so much, and im personally wondering what the "TRUE" fans thought. did you guys like it? even with the changes?

if i start naming my issues with the movie, this blog with be twice as long as it already is, so i mingh just come back to that another day......
