i gave up on Sony a LONG time ago.... acually once they released the price tag of the ps3 i started to hate sony...... so it doesnt matter if they installl it or not because im not getting that crap!

I think this rumor was proved worng some time ago... even if it wasn't, Sony isn't as stupid and suicidal as many of you think.

Maybe it has been re-leaked. But I remember hearing about it a long time ago.

I still don't believe it to be true. Used games market is too big for Sony to just forbid it. It's true that they don't get any money for used games, but people doing it are too many, it wouldn't be convenient for them to took it out completely.

i heard that rumor long ago, I dunno if it's bogus or not. I wonder if the quality of the games will make up for it.

runemaster190, this rumor is months old. It's false, i even remenber gamespot said it was bogus in one of their news article months ago. PS3 will play the games you borrow from your friend or games that you rent.

Listen to automaticsnake! We both go to the PS3 forums frequently and i can guarantee you that this rumor was false and was denied by Sony itself a very long time ago!
This G4 TV apparently has some kind of quest against PS3 because all they have done lately is dig up old and false rumors. Some people have said that this channel belongs to Microsoft in some way, therefor i wouldn't trust them. The PS3 will play used, rented and borrowed games, that is a fact, if it didn't playstation would die and Sony is not stupid enough to dig up its own grave!

You cant guarantee that dude. And G4 TV has nothing against the ps3, in fact the other way around.... And come on Microsoft hasnt said anything about sony but sony on the other hand has been trashing both the wii and xbox 360. Not to make sony sound bad, but they also have made many mistakes while creating the ps3

I can guarantee it because it was officialy denied by SONY, not some other site, tv or whatever! SONY, you know..... the company that makes playstations. I'll try to find a link as proof to post here later.

You can't say that the Wii will win the console war, not without proof and you can't prove that this early because none of the consoles are being sold yet.

Believe it or not, that's your problem. I have seen everything i need to prove the rumor wrong and also common sense to back it a little.
About the Wii, sure it will sell a lot in the beginning because it is cheap and because it is innovative but people will get tired of it and the graphics don't help anything, they look like Gamecube's! Now be honest, do you really see yourself playing with that Wiimote ALL the time? I know i don't!

The wii's graphics are more powerful then you think. Resident evil 4 proved that the game cube's graphics were more powerful too.....
