Jay-Z(AKA. Jigga Man,Hova, Young Hova) reigned over the New York rap scene throughout the late '90s and early 2000s and steadily built up the Roc-a-Fella Records dynasty in the process. The Brooklyn rapper made his splash debut "Reasonable Doubt"(One of Hip-Hops Greatest Albums) in 1996 and cranked out album after album and hit after hit throughout the decade and into the next.On Jay-Z critcly aclaimed 5th album "The Blueprint",Hova made one of the most well-known diss tracks with "Takeover",a diss to queensbridge rappers Nas and Mobb Depp.Jay-Z became so successful that Roc-a-Fella, the record label he began with Damon Dash, became a marketable brand itself, spawning a lucrative clothing line (Roca Wear). It also sparked the carrers of rappers Beanie Sigel,Memphis Bleek,Young Gunz,Peedi Crack,The Diplomats and many others. He claims His latest album "The Black Album",is his last album,so that he could stick to being the President of Def Jam Records and doing guest apperences on other MCS albums.

Although he never became a household name, Rakim is near-universally acknowledged as one of the greatest MCs — perhaps the greatest — of all time within the hip-hop community. It isn't necessarily the substance of what he says that's helped him win numerous polls among rap fans in the know; the majority of his lyrics concern his own skills and his Islamic faith. But in terms of how he says it, Rakim is virtually unparalleled. His flow is smooth and liquid, inflected with jazz rhythms and carried off with an effortless cool that makes rap fans think with every line.

Marvin (Tony Yayo) Bernard is a 24 years old. He was born and raised on the streets of South Side Jamaica, Queens. Tony was a product of his environment. He started selling drugs at the age of 15.Later he meet fellow group member 50 Cent. Those two added another Jamica,Queens rapper to their roaster, then formed the rap group G-Unit.Unortunly,Yayo served time in prison right around the time G-Unit was becomeing well known(due to signing with Dr.Dres Aftermath records).G-Unit replaced Yayo with a southern rapper Young Buck. After Yayos release from prison,he soon started working on his solo album with 50 cent.Yayo who was once known for his raw freestyles is now doing hip-pop songs that disapoint many of his first fans.It seems as if hes following the steps of his group leader 50 Cent, who when first came on the scene, was raw and refreshing.but now hes making all club/love songs that are jus meant to make money.aka.......selling-out

Nas, born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones on September 14, 1973,is son of Olu Dara, an unconventional jazz musician and Ann Jones.Nas is one of the many great rappers out of the golden age of rap. Nas made his first major mark on Hip-hop in his 1994 debut, "Illmatic," which was released on Columbia/SME and is considered one of the best Hip-Hop albums of all time.It attracted attention for its depiction of ghetto life and Nas' refusal to include the misogyny and violence evident in some hip-hop.In Nas's carrer,he has had beefs with such big-time artist as Cormega,50 Cent and his most well known one,Jay-Z.The rest of Nas's albums are "It Was Written,""I Am...","Nastrudamus" "Stillmatic","Gods Son", and his latest being "Streets Disciples"

rosebud_14 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could rosebud_14 possibly have for not rating a single film?
