I so couldn't resist! I stayed up late to post this at the time I was born (around 1:30 a.m.)

I know, I know...I'm such a goof!

Hey there everyone!

I know, I know...It's been too long (slaps self on back of head)

So I have another funny story to tell. I have to prerequisite by telling you 2 things...

1) For those of you that don't know, I work in retail.

2) At work, to keep things "cheery", we all picked Holiday Names (put them on our nametags and in the "system" so they would be printed on the reciepts.)

Mine was "Sugar Plum"

Now for the story...

About 3 days before Christmas, we had a guy shoplift in our store(shocking, I know ) I had followed him outside and asked him to come back in but he took off in his car. Not only did I have 2 customers come up and give me his license # and make of vehicle, a third followed him in his own car while talking to the Police on his cell phone.(gotta love people in the midwest )

The Officer that responded to our 911 call walked the store with me and another employee to see if we could figure out just exactly what he took. (it was under his jacket) The Officer had to leave because he got the call that they had caught the guy. Before he left he asked "Are you going to be here for awhile Sugar Plum?" (after leaning over to read my name tag)

Then when he called on the phone, he again asked for "Sugar Plum".

The joke at work is that I now have an alias with the local Police Department.

Oh yeh, they got the guy, he admitted to it and the Officer told me "good job". The guy had a $10,000 warrent out for him from a neighboring county and was a "big time thief" (their words, not mine)

I hope he had a nice Christmas in jail for what was basicly "petty theft" (under $100)

Hey everyone

I know, I know...long time, no post. But I have a somewhat funny story to tell.

First a little background info. I stopped coloring my hair 5 yrs. ago because I deceided I was going to "own" my grey hair and "embrace my age (I'm now 44)

Now for the story...I was back home in the Twin Cities last weekend visiting family. I was at the grocery store with my sister and her 14 yr. old daughter. While my sister was paying for her groceries, she sent my niece and I to the coffee bar to get her a latte (btw...it's called "Caribou Coffee". Minnesotas version of "Starbucks" )

So, the guy at the counter knows my niece cause they go there ALL the time. She tells him that I'm just visiting and he says "Oh, is this your grandma?"

I nearly reached accross the counter and hit him!! (my niece just giggled) Once he found out I was her Aunt, he appoligized over and over again. (the only thing that saved him from me dumping my latte on him)

Needless to say, I went and got my hair colored yesterday.

Yeh, I know...long story but I just had to share.
