Nancy Cameron is one of the most outstanding Playmates of all time. She shined when the magazine was at its commercial peak. Also its peak, period.I see that she was on Fantasy Island cast as The Most Beautiful Girl In The World. Now,with most actresses that would be a terrible overreach. But with her ,it works. While I don\'t personally feel she\'s quite deserving of the title,she\'s within shouting distance.I only wish she had done more TV,movies, etc. What an astounding woman!I only wish I could have met her, like Alice Cooper did, lucky man.I hope this Fantasy Island episode comes out on DVD so I can see it.

I first encountered Amelia Shankley in the art house classic Dreamchild. Not only was she physically gorgeous but the subtlety of her performance was astounding! The film itself had its flaws but Coral Browne and Amelia were outstanding. Then she appeared in the PBS' A Little Princess-what a tour de force of a performance(again)!Since then I've seen her in a mystery production with David McCallum and Red Riding Hood and ,of course,in a few episodes of Lovejoy(with Ian McShane)playing his daughter. And ,then, pretty much,silence...Where is this astoundingly beautiful and talented actress? Why isn't she in PBS produtions and the like?I don't understand this.

Gene Pitney was unique in the world of popular music. He recorded in many genres, including pop, rock, country, movie themes and r&b.He played piano, drums and guitar, and was an excellent songwriter, penning hits for Ricky Nelson and Bobby Vee as well as for himself. He played piano on the first Rolling Stones album and had an affair, chronicled in her autobiography, with Marianne Faithfull. He was famous for hitting high notes that "only dogs and managers could hear".When his string of hits ran out in 1968 he continued to perform and record. My biggest regret now is that I never got to see him live.Nik Cohn described the effect of one of his concerts as "like swimming in a cement mixer".

I first discovered Larisa Oleynik on The Secret World Of Alex Mack.I thought she was adorable and carried the show.I knew she was also in The Babysitters Club and Third Rock From The Sun.And she was in the movie Ten Things I Hate About You.But for someone with her enormous charm, talent, and beauty she is being criminally underused. She should have her own TV series and/or star in feature films.Where are casting directors' heads?I understand that she is going to be in the new series Pepper Dennis but as a supporting player.C'mon, let's have a Larisa Oleynik Show!By the way-she is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I remember Jack Jones from my adolescence-he was on TV a lot in the mid-60s.I remember when he hosted Hullabaloo, one of my all-time favorite shows.I sort of considered him my parents' music at the time and really didn't appreciate him as much as I should have.In recent years I have picked up some of his recordings and have become quite a fan.Last October I travelled by train from Germantown,Philadelphia where I live to New Brunswick to catch him live with the Edison Symphony Orchestra. What a great show!He is singing better than ever and at 67 is still a strikingly handsome man.I wish his record companies would get their acts together and rerelease his catalog. He is ripe for rediscovery!

rockerreds must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could rockerreds possibly have for not rating a single film?
