One of those blah kind of days....its chilly and rainy outside, the perfect day to curl up on the couch and watch some good tv/movies. I wish they sold SNL episodes on DVD, besides the best of series. I wish I had cable. I slept from 5am until 11am this morning, I have no idea what my sleep problem is. I watch Conan every night and usually fall asleep after that, but lately, that has not been the case. I think Conan has the best writing on late night television. I can't wait until he takes over the Tonight Show. I wonder if the Tonight Show will then be broadcast from NY, or if Conan will have to move to LA. weird. anyway, just rambling my thoughts. gonna go pop in a dvd. yay.

I really wish that Bravo would pick up ASSSSCAT: improv as a series. They had the special on in september which was awesome, and I think that it (true longform improv) is an artform that people just dont know that much about. And its amazing, if there was a series I think it would do really really well! The UCB should definitley do a series....come on Bravo! do it already!
oh and p.s....COMEDY CENTRAL WOULD YOU PLEASE RELEASE UCB SEASONS 2 AND 3 ON DVD!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEAAAAAAAAAASEE!

I have to say that I have been somewhat dissappointed with the majority of television lately. With the exception of certain shows that are amazing like SNL, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, I feel like so many shows have been reduced to pretty people in little clothes with terrible storylines. And then theres all the crappy reality tv. The one reality show that I have watched is The Amazing Race, I find it entertaining because it is really a competition, and not some sort of a competition disguised under ensuing drama and trying to get attention. Anyway, my point is that our culture is so obsessed with vanity and narcicism and sex and its really terrible. I am wondering when this trend is going to stop. There are millions of intelligent people out there who are aching for something much more satisfying.
