the wb know's that with Jesse McCartney's fame it would have brought up the ratings on the show even though the rating were good. the wb might endup losing viewers because from what i read on thewb.com under summerland alot of fans are saying that they will stop watching the wb altogether.

Jared should really be put back on as a regular, because the show was really great with him on there even though him and rory had a few things like dating, dumping, dating again, dumping, then sleeping with each other that may have set off more...
