Well, I finally found Dead Space for $20 this last weekend. I picked it up and finally got to playing it last night. Interesting intro and such. And guess what?! I can strafe in it! Survival horror++. I realized by strafing around I freak myself out more seeming I am behaving more like I would in real life... see a door, peak in. Turn around, peak in... finally strafe in the door going to the side with the most 'protection'... ah, this is what RE4 was suppose to be. Good and not lame.
I also picked up Uniracers for the SNES. Yep, I finally gave up on the VC. First, I don't have any space left on the little Wiinii, and seeming they are more intent on releasing crap on Wiiware I figured now was a good time to just give up and get a real copy. I had uniracers back on my original SNES, but somehow I ended up losing it... I still think it was the gnomes. But anyhow I now have another copy and realized how much I love this game. It's a simple trick racer, heavy on the rubber-banding though unless you keep doing tricks.
I also picked up Fable 2's free DLC first chapter and played it a bit over the last few days. First off, it plays like a 3D Zelda. Two, it is really easy to make people like you and do little actions to 'define yourself'... Three, the dog is a cool addition for dog lovers like myself. Now, if they wouldn't have cheaped it up by finding 'condoms' in treasure chests I think it would have been a pretty strong contender for a Zelda replacement for people sick of finding the master sword and all the heart containers for the umpteenth time in the typical Zelda rehash... alas they had to go and 'mature' it... I'll probably pick up the first Fable and then wait on the GOTY edition with the DLC for the second game though.
Anyhow, two games I can't play around my kids and one I can... at least Uniracers is the game with all the replay value anyhow...
Cheers.

Wow, you really got Dead Space that cheap?
I've been meaning to pick it up for a while, now seems like a good time.

On the VC issue: I somewhat agree. Most of what's on the VC are the most mainstream of NES, SNES, N64 and Genisis games. Don't get me wrong, some of them are great. But where the Hell are U.N. Squadron (SNES), MK2 or Killer Instinkt? I own all three on SNES. But most people aren't going to keep an old, clunky, cartrigde-based console around for that stuff. I only do it because I've owned my SNES forever. Alot of killer niche games are being ignored and it bothers me. By the way, you were right. The DSi is a joke! I bought it for "cool" downloadables. But DSiWare only offers cheesey gimmick games. Thus, I traded it to a friend in SC (while visiting my brothers) for a used DS lite. At least the GBA games were REAL games.

Congrats on Dead Space, it's a great game. But I love the Zelda games, and whilst I also love the Fable games, they can never replace Link in my eyes.

Uniracers was quite unique, wasn't it? It should definitely be revived some time.
@nate1222: I hope DSi can get a 'Virtual-Portable-Something', so we can make a better use of the download service with Game Boy games (and Game Gear, and Lynx games, why not?). For now they're looking at the DSi as a mobile - that's why there are games for 200 points.

You're really lucky to have found Dead Space for that price. Seriously. A friend lended it to me and I completed, but I (stupidly) returned it before a second playthrough. I want to buy the game. Still, glad to know you're going to have nice gaming experiences.

@Transilvanien
@TwilightSoilder
Found it at Shopko... wasn't even in their typical section instead it was on their jumbled 'cheap, not locking it up, discount' shelf. I'm still seeing it for $30 around the typical stores.

B-b-but I loved Resident Evil 4

@hazelnutman - that's ok. Lots of people liked RE4. I still think it was utter crap though. A sad attempt to move prerendered areas into a TPS world and not include basic TPS controls to go with it. Luckily, for most people, it was made by Capcom, had a 4 tacked onto the end, and at least attempted to modernize a bit, so it was instant 'gold'.

Resident Evil 4 wasn't lame at all, it was an innovation that breathe new life into the series. But hey, to each his own and as I haven't played Dead Space yet, it might be better than RE4. Lastly, you sure got a great deal for the game.

I feel left out because i never got to experience Dead Space

the fable franchise is MUCH more adult than the zelda franchise - if you want in fable 2, you can make a bunch of human sacrifices to earn a big nasty sword. - condoms are one thing - but i guess if i had kids (i don't) i'd still think twice about a game that makes being bad a lot of fun.
