"Yes, we can!"

Alright, because of school, I missed the Inaugural Speech. After searching online a bit, I read quite a bit of it or at least enough to get the gist of it. Props to Obama and his speech-maker, Jon Favreau. The dude must be a genius to have written some of the most memorable speeches in history. Back to the Inaugural Speech. Here's one sentence that will pretty much summarize the speech in a nutshell.

"Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America." - Barack Obama, Inaugural Speech, Inauguration Day, Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

We've fallen pretty far from the tree with our economy going down the drain and all. I mean, this era is almost on par with the Great Depression and that means something. I'm not completely confident, being the pessimist I am, in Obama's plan to pull us out of the hole, but I'm putting a lot of faith into it. Sure it's not really important to me right now since I'm only fifteen, but it will matter within a few years when I actually become an adult and it will start to matter. Why not start early? I think more teens should get involved in society if you know what I mean. They should start caring more about the government and so forth. Especially the ones that are old enough to make votes. Every vote counts, boys and girls, so why not make the most of it? Anyways, it's just my opinion, or you can view it as the opinion of a teenager who is only fifteen years old. Whatever floats your boat.

Oh and the booing to Bush was kind of uncalled for. I mean, sure he was the worst president, but it doesn't give people the right to criticize him. I mean, if you were the president, then could you do any better? Could you have prevented the economy from being crap? It's not entirely his fault to. I mean, it's those stupid bankers who decided to loan large amounts of money to people they knew couldn't pay them back. Retards is what they are. Sorry if I offended you, but it's the truth. Anyways, just wanted to put that out there. Don't boo someone unless you know that you could do a betterjob than they can. Oh, and analysts are saying that the economy started to drop around the era when Clinton was president. Just something I recently stumbled upon. Take it as some food for thought.

Feel free to criticize me or agree with me. I'd like you to voice your opinions seeing as I'd like to hear them.

A quote from the man himself:

"...we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake." - Barack Obama.

I'm not totally confident in him, but I'm putting a lot of faith into his plans. I hope he can at the least get us out of this economic crisis which is the topic of choice among most Americans.

I agree with both of you I'm not fully confident in him but yet I believe he could get us out of what we are in with the economic and stuff. Did you know when they did the swearing in for Obama they used the same book they used for Abraham Lincoln? I just watched the Swearing ins at school

Yeah. It's pretty cool that they used the same book, oath, and type of ceremony to transfer into office that they used to get everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Obama today.

Well, it was pretty exciting for me to just watch bits and pieces of the Inauguration since I was watching history being made. The first African-American President to take office. I'm really anxious to see how Obama and Biden run the country after all of this crap that's happened to us so far.

I think Americans will greatly gain because of Barrack Obama. I really believe in that man. Because that is what he is: a man. People shouldn't expect him to open up seas in half, end world starvation, make world peace... He is just one man. A great one. But still just a man.
He will help the US as much as his possible. The world will probably beefit from his exemple.
Then again, I shouldn't have any opinions in the matter. I'm not American, so...
