Hey all -
- (warning: long-ish update blog) -
Well, I've roughly been in Chicago for about a week now. It's pretty cool. Although I must say - I MISS MY PS3!!!!
I really do.
BUT - two things:
1. Because of the lack of the awesomeness that is the PS3, I have been paying much more attention to good ol' compy. Which is a good thing, considering I just upgraded it. Anyways, so I began to play Oblivion again about 3 or 4 days ago and well...I'm re-hooked. I can't seem to get away from it! I had forgotten how good that game was!
So I guess I should thank my idiotness for deciding to not bring the PS3...'cause now I can spend some much-needed time with comp. ![]()
2. However, come two weeks from now what game comes out? Oh, I don't know, a little titled called LITTLEBIGPLANET (no pun intended...seriously). So on that weekend, my best friend is going to be coming down here to Chicago with PS3 and HD monitor in hand so I can enjoy this long-awaited game. Ahh...who doesn't love a good reunion story...girl reunited with her PS3. A great story indeed.
Apart from that, classes started this week. And I love it! Art school is about a gajillion times better than regular school. We actually get to do FUN things that I enjoy! For all of you who don't know (and to all of you who read my blog, which *AHEM* isn't as many people anymore booo) I will be majoring in Game Art & Design. I don't have any major-focused classes this quarter, but I do get 2 art classes and two gen-ed - one of which is a portfolio class. So really, one gen-ed.
However, the next few quarters should be really fun. Lots of observational and life drawing, animation ****s, and tons of game-related ****s.
And so in conclusion I say this - to anyone who really loves videogames or art, please do yourself a favor and go to art school. I let people convince me that a career in videogames was pointless, until I could take it no more and followed my heart and applied to art school. I know how you feel my fellow artists - regular school blows. Art school is NOT regular school and is much MUCH better. You feel in place, and at ease. You feel like you're getting something accomplished with your life. It rocks.
So anyway, a few years from now - when you're playing a game...don't skip the end credits, because you just may see my name among them...

I am going to pack up my computer RIGHT NOW. It's a sad sad thing.
But it's OK, computer will be back up tomorrow IN CHICAGO. Hell yes. I leave tomorrow morning at 7am, and I am damn nervous and excited and anxious and happy all at once. ![]()
Anyways....just felt like I should post something about it....cause...I don't know! Okay!

until LittleBigPlanet!!
Who's getting it? Play with me. ![]()
In other news, I move in 3 days and I've been sick for the last 3 days in bed. Yahoo. I was so sick yesterday that I went home from work. Today I feel a litle better but I have a nasty cough. Worst time to get sick ever...and I still have so much to do - packing and shopping! gahh!! I hope I can get this all done by Tuesday night.
Well, this will probably be my last blog in a while. I'll probably be packing up compy tonight or tomorrow and won't be setting up until Wednesday. Not that it matters, I'm rarely on anymore. Not even on MSN! Anyways, I'll see you all laters!
