Hancock's character was definitely interesting. He wasn't always everyone's favorite personality, but he did his job. He made me think of Dr. House; Hancock usually didn't care what people thought. The plot was interesting enough, but it seemed too rushed toward the end and stopped just as it was gaining momentum. I thought the movie should have continued so we could see more interaction between the characters. Or at least an epilogue. Nevertheless, it was a decent movie, better than most I've seen in a while.

This movie was a classic. It's just one of those movies that's original and timeless. The music was done wonderfully, and so were the voices, very realistic and convincing. To some extent, we can relate to the characters and the morals/lessons...

To some extent, we can relate to the characters and the morals/lessons presented in this film. If you haven't watched this movie, I highly recommend it. It's one of the best animated shows I've ever seen.

SPOILER ALERT When I began watching this movie, I didn't think it was going to be very good, but I was pleasantly surprised by the end. Yet it is one of those movies that can be somewhat confusing if you don't pay close attention to the beginning. As good as this movie was, it was kind of long. I thought Russell Crowe did a great job in the movie, his portrayal of his character seemed very realistic. The movie begins with a young man named John Nash going to Princeton University for college. He settles in his dorm, where he meets his new roommate, Charles. Nash mentions that he doesn’t like people, and they don’t like him much either. He has noticeable social issues and doesn’t talk much. From the first few minutes of the movie, we see that Nash views many things in life as mathematical. He sees mathematical patterns in the movement of pigeons, football players, etc. Math is his life. Later we see him trying to find a creative idea for a paper he has to do, and he works incessantly on it until he gets frustrated and accidentally injures himself. Charles tries to get him to calm down from his work and pushes Nash’s desk out the window. Eventually Nash comes up with the idea to create a thesis proving the economist Adam Smith wrong from an experience he has in a bar. Five years later, Nash has become a professor/doctor at MIT. One day, he was called to the Pentagon to help the government solve a pattern in this wall of numbers. Nash pulls out certain numbers, then uses them to point out specific locations on a map that indicate a route across the US. Next we see Nash teaching a class of college students. He ends up falling in love with one of his students, a woman named Alicia. Later he marries her. Shortly after they are married, Nash is chased by a group of men supposedly trying to kill him. A government agent named William Parcher helps him escape from them, then proceeds to tell him that his job cracking codes isn’t finished yet. This makes him upset and stressed but he decides to go on with life and not tell anyone about it. At a math conference at Harvard University, Nash runs in to his old roommate Charles and his niece Marcee. While he is making a speech at the conference, he sees Parcher and tries running away from him. A psychiatrist tries to stop him, along with many other people, including police, and Nash fights all of them. He gets shot with a tranquilizer and sent to a psychiatric hospital. There he endures insulin shock therapy and when he goes home he agrees to take medication for his schizophrenia. He later realizes that the government situation, along with Parcher, Charles, and Marcee, were only in his mind. Nash decides to live with his condition, and goes back to Princeton to teach. By the end of the movie, he is recognized for his achievements in math and awarded the Nobel Prize. A great movie overall.
