This time the culprits were Mr_Silent_D and pvtdonut54. Anyhow, since I do not want to spread such misery, I will choose not to tag anyone this time around. I will also only do ten facts this time around, since I did thirty last time I was tagged.
Lets get this over with...
1. My name is Paul.
2. I live in the United States.
3. I am primarily a PC gamer, but I own a PS3 and Wii as well.
4. I like a variety of game genres ranging from sims to MMOs. If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be sims.
5. My favorite game released in 2009 so far is Arma 2.
6. My favorite game of all time is Freelancer, followed closely by Mass Effect.
7. Recently I've been playing a lot of Modern Warfare 2 (on PC). I really enjoy the game (to the suprise of many, given my known love for Arma 2).
8. I plan on buying Left 4 Dead 2 (on PC) at some point this year.
9. My most anticipated game right now is Mass Effect 2. I will be getting the Collector's Edition.
10. I plan on getting a new GPU for Christmas. I am looking at a 5890.
Well, that is all for now. Let's hope I do not get tagged for while...
I don't. For those of you who were unaware, I am somewhat of a regular System Wars poster. Its one of the most active areas of the site, and its a good place to get the latest news about games and systems, as well as participate in the titular wars. I've also met a lot of great posters there; I believe my GUFU induction was largely based on my System Wars activity, which is relatively high.

I feel this trying to comprehend System Wars.
That being said, I still do not truly understand System Wars. Allow me to present an example. Recently, a rumour has appeared indicating the GTA IV DLC will be appearing on PC. Great news? One would think so. Critically acclaimed DLC coming to a new platform should be. As a PS3/PC/Wii gamer, I did not have the opportunity to play this. If the rumour proves true, I shall be able to at some point. On the PC Games board, this would most likely be greeted by generally favorable responses (maybe...), as well as some disaffected anti-GTA IV posts (PC version has some optimization/GFWL issues, so this is perfectly understandable). On System Wars, however, it immediatley degenerated into wrangling over the 'excusivity' of said DLC. This is what I cannot comprehend.

This bear shares my feelings on the subject.
Why on earth would anyone care about the exclusivity of a title? I see threads claiming 'PS3 haz SURPASSED 360 in AAAs!!! lulz' all the time. Why? Is the number of critically favored titles available on one's system of choice inherently linked to one's enjoyment of said system? I feel so out of touch when such discussions arise. I simply cannot comprehend why anyone would care. It seems such a trivial issue compared to arguably more legitimate complaints like which platform has the best performance, and so on.

This is my brain on System Wars.
Does anyone else feel as I do? Or have I missed the point? I suppose it is System Wars, but still...
... once again. The amazing part is that the game is just as fun this time as it was the first time I played it. I love everything about the game; the story and characters are my favorite part. I have many favorites character-wise, but I am partial to a certain blue alien (which should be obvious from my avatar and sig)...
The main purpose for replaying the game is so I have the perfect save for Mass Effect 2, which is coming up sooner each day. I can my social life the week after Mass Effect 2 is released; its going to be non-existant... ![]()
