Today I want to send my condolences to Rhonda, Megan and Rochelle. I have met a lot of wonderful people on tv.com and these are three of the best. I was heartbroken to hear the news of Dennis illness and was so touched that Rhonda took her precious time to let us know how he was doing. Through the last month, I have cried, I have cheered at small successes, I have prayed throughout every day hoping for a miracle for Dennis, Rhonda, Megan, Rochelle and all of their families. But Saturday, God had other plans for his newest angel. I am comforted by the fact that he is happier than any of us can imagine right now with his Father. I know that he is the newest guardian angel for many, many people that his life has touched.

Rhonda, Megan and Rochelle, please accept my continued prayers for your healing as this difficult road continues for you all and your families. My God bless you and keep you tight in His loving arms. If you need anything, PLEASE just let me know. Know that Taylor and I wish that we could be with you tomorrow. We will be thinking and praying for Dennis and each of you.

Below is a poem that we received after my husband Mike's dad died. I hope the words comfort you as they did us.

In God'slove, Cindy

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide;

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.

Rest in peace Dennis. You did a great job here..now rest.

Aw, Cindy thank you. I'm truly touched. The funeral services are today, and then I'm hoping to get caught up with everybody here. Thank you for your kind words. *hugs*

Cindy, thank you. In the midst of grief that knows no words our lives have experienced the grace of God through the kindness of friends like you. My husband was a spectacularly great man... as a husband, father, grandfather, priest, educator, and friend. It will now be our privilege to let the essence of his life and work live on through us -- a living legacy and most fitting tribute to an extraordinary man.

You are very welcome. And thank you so much for blogging information so we knew how things were going. I know that must not have been easy for you but it meant a lot to Taylor and me. I will continue to pray for you, Megan and your family. He sounds like he was a wonderful disciple of God and touched many lives in his work. In my opinion, just knowing you for this time, you and Megan are already living the life of God and it can do nothing but get better lifting his work up to keep it in the spotlight. If you need anything, please let me know.

What a beautiful poem, it is so true, this earth and this body is our temporary tent and habitation, Dennis is in glory and even though that is hard for us, it is marvelous for him. I hope God speeds His love and comfort to all those who experienced such a monumental loss. God bless you all. Thanks Cindy, you are an angel.

Thank you Bekka! Glad to have you stop in. When we got that poem on a picture at Mike's dads funeral, it is so true it just knocked me in the face and took my breathe away. God bless ya too, sweetie!
