Growing up I stayed away from the RPG genre. I couldn't stand it and actually use to make fun of people that would spend hours playing them. Little did I know that in the future I would be one of those people that I use to make fun of.
My first RPG was Kingdom Hearts(pathetic isn't it)when it was released for the Playstation 2 in 2002. Kingdom Hearts was the game that broke me into RPG's and gave me a taste of what the genre was all about. After I completed Kingdom Heats I went on to play other popular RPG's. I soon realized that the storys were amazing and it actually took some type of strategy to play.
I wanted to write this blog was to express to you how much I'm loving Lost Odyssey. The first hour seemed like a drag but once the story started getting interesting I was hooked. Being as though my backlog is big an RPG is probably the last kind of game that I should be playing since it takes up so much time, but I keep finding myself playing the game.
Sure I've been playing RPG's for a couple years now but its not until now that I just realized how judgemental I actually was. Crazy thing is that I was hating on the genre without even giving it a try to see if I liked it. My how I have grown. I am, by no means, an expert of the genre. There are still essential games in the genre that I haven't played yet. Maybe one day I'll get around to playing them all.
Once I've completed Lost Odyssey I'm heading right to Gamestop to buy.....
I just keep hearing to many great things about the game to pass it up. Plus I loved Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube.
Have any of you been judgemental about certain video game genres out there?
Happy Labor Day to all.
The summer is over which means some great games are about to start filling up the shelves. There are a bunch of games that I want to get within the next couple months. Since I'm not trying to spend thousands of dollars on this expensive hobby I've limited myself to buying 3 games a month.
Here are the 3 games I'm looking forward to getting:
September 14th
I'm ready to tackle this version of RB since I somewhat improved on my drumming skills. It's also good to know that there is a feature in the game that helps you with your drumming....which will definitely help me with the fills.
Some of the songs I'm looking forward to are:
-You Oughta Know
-So Whatcha Want
-Hungry Like a Wolf
-Eye of the Tiger
Turns out that I know way more songs on this version so I'm ready to rock out!!
September 16th
It's been a while since the last time I played an ATV racing game. The graphics are stunning and it is surprising since Disney is publishing it. Apparently you can build your own ATV from different manufactured parts. Look forward to pulling off some high flying tricks and racing online.
September 23rd
What can I say....I'm a sucker for the Lego games. Sure I might be part of the problem but they are a bunch of fun!!!
So those are the 3 games I'll be purchasing this month. There are some other games that I'm looking for but I'll hold off and maybe put them on a Christmas list
-Viva Pinata 2
-de Blob
-Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood.
Sorry for the lack of blogging lately. Figured I actually had something worthy of doing a video about so here you go.....
