GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con
Sunday, May 20, 2007

Recently there is alot of talk going around about the future of video game regulations. Sure it looks like just about every other time that congress has tried to regulate an industry(Music, Movie, and even Comic Books), but for some reason this seems different. If you look on watch dog site www.gamepolitics.com at any given time you will see a story in which some state is trying to regulate gaming sales and curtailing availability of video games. Right now the top story on the site is (http://gamepolitics.com/2007/05/20/), in which the Virginia Tech Review board stated that violent games should be banned like the illegal and addictive narcotic heroin, you can find who makes up the review board here(http://www.vtreviewpanel.org/panel_info/).

It is more unsettling that a front runner senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) believes that there is a direct correlation between video games and crime rates. You can decide for yourself here(http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/glance.htm#Crime), of course we can't only look at Hillary. Here is a write up that C|net on all who were involved in the mid-term elections(seeing that most of the candidates were involved), I know that this is mostly on Internet related issues, but if they feel that way on those issues, you can imagine on how they feel

Now I have to ask you the reader(if any reads this) to really think about the candidate you choose(or if you can't vote, get your parents to look at your candidate), because thing can really go south for video gaming if you don't, please think before you vote.

P.S. Now I know that this might seem a little bias with me singling out Hillary, this is because she is truly evil and must be stopped before she can move any further into her campaign. SERIOUSLY have you seen her youtube video she truly believes that the youths of today are full of freaking idiots, she is literally say your all idiots and I will let you make the "most important decision of my campaign" letting you choose my campaign theme song(which can only be chosen from a list of pre-selected songs).

(P.S. to my P.S.) I apologize for the above rant, it is kind of uncharacteristic of me but what ever. Sic semper tyrannis.
