Listed above is the document I sent to Adam in January. While I have made many changes to it since then, and now it is a much better proposal, it still doesn't change the fact that the document I sent in wasn't good enough to make the top ten this year. It's rather upsetting to tell you the truth, but I'm trying to cope. It's both saddening yet very uplifting that Oilers99, DFAD's most prolific contestant, who has been in the top ten in every contest from the beginning, did not make the top ten. This shocks me, since his documents have been fantastic, and he thought this was his best. So, the only thing I can say now to myself is better luck next year, if I can even think of another game idea, since my mind has been so attached to my screenplay(s) lately, that I'm slipping farther and farther from what it takes to make a video game idea.

Good night all, I'm going to bed.

For years, I was an avid gamer, it was a passion of mine, and Gamespot has for better of worse, was my haven. But after a while, my position shifted, and I became obsessed with film. This took me away from the 'Spot and the rest of the CNET family, and onto other places, such as Box Office Mojo, Rotten Tomatoes, Match Cut, and a few other sites. But nothing's really done it for me, and there's only been one site I've been able to actually get into as of late, but today, when I discovered that Filmspot has been launched, I shot up and did a Napoleon-like "YES!" CNET has always had great forums, and now they have one for the stuff I'm really interested in. It looks like I finally have a film-centric forum that I can really get into.

Thanks.

Once in a while, a film comes around that will completely blow you away, and revolutionize the way you look at film in the future. For me, this was the film. Rian Johnson's directorial debut is such a spell-binding thriller that feels as if it's...

The Prestige
Going into The Prestige, I was, in a word, skeptical. After seeing the early reviews for the film, I couldn’t tell if Christopher Nolan had created the next Memento, a film that I am very fond of, or the next Insomnia, a film that I found...
