This title is from the Commentary! The Musical part of Dr. Horrible, more specifically by the man, Joss Whedon himself.
And it is referring to the fact that Daria made me tell y'all why I watch everything.
........
You're lucky you're so awesome Daria.![]()
I'll talk about that next blog.
Anyway, TV TIME!!
Isn't is amazing how for school and stuff it's always hard to write a certain amount of words on a particular sunject but then when it comes to TV we can write entire blogs full and still ahve to forxe ourselves not to write anymore.
I think that's hilarious.
Anyway, I finally prepared my 2009 Fall Schedule so here it is.
I wasn't going to write a description but after a really long conversation with Daria the other night, I will. For her. Because she told me to. So you really have her to thank.![]()
As the list goes down, the descriptions become somewhat more stupid and silly so... beware. Idiodicy will ensure. Though this is only because the further along I got, the more drunker I got. Because Daria and I were drinking. Together. Via the internet. Well she said she didn't like to drink alone. ![]()
I was particularly weird during Supernatural, Saturday's show and Sunday's shows. And the web series... Hehe.
If you don't want to read any spoilers, look through this and then any shows you don't want spoilers for, don't read the description. Read everything else ![]()
Because I told you to.
FALL TV SCHEDULE
MONDAY:
- Castle - I really loved the first season. It was a little too alike Bones but I think my love for Nathan Fillion persuaded the love. Though I'm really hoping this season will be longer and will branch out more. I'm also really looking forward to seeing the fallout of Castle looking into Beckett. I really do hope there will be feeding of birds (heheh Daria)
- Gossip Girl - Gossip Girl is always amazing. To me it's like a more grown up version of The OC and its set in New York so you know, double points there. I'm really sad though because they're moving out of High School now and usually when that happens in a show, things kinda go a little weird. But I'm hoping they'll pull through. Also, I hate on-again, off-again couples but I really hope Dan and Serena hurry up and get back together... Again

- Heroes - This show annoys me so much now but I can't help but watch it. It's like... so beyond weird now that I love it and yeah. I don't really know what it's about actually... anymore. Though I hope they bring back Ali Larter because she was awesome. And I can't wait to see what happens with the whole Nathan-actually-being-Sylar issue.
- House - HE'S IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION!! WAAAHHHH!!! I'm excited to see how that happens. It should be funny. And there's gonna be a psychiatrist so that should be fabulous. I'm more happy about the original team finally getting some proper screen time. And I'm a closet HUGE Cameron/Chase fan so they're married and it's awesome

- How I Met Your Mother -
I love HIMYM. Do I really need to explain more? I will though
Hhehe Barney and Robin datage. YAY! I hope there's more laser tag. And I actually like Ted and I really wanna know who the mother is (Which is a stupid thing to wish for because as soon as we find out, the show will end. But I'm curious. And he'll teach her or something like). The only thing I really think that this show could fix is maybe some more Lily/Marshall storyness. Though I will miss Alyson trying to hide her pregnantness with extra large props
- The Big Bang Theory - I am the strange one here who happens to love Leonard and really wants him and Penny to get together so... That is what I'm hoping for. Though Sheldon will always win. I just can't wait for... yeah. The awesomeness. I also wish for more scenes with Harold's mom hehe.
TUESDAY:
- NCIS - Last season was really intense. Especially the ending!! WoahMyDemps I neeeeeed to know that Ziva is gonna be okay but I kinda have a weird side to me that hopes she get her ass kicked before the saving happens because then it will just be a cooler story line. Also, I have hilarious visions of everyone trying to help her which would be hilarious because she's Ziva
I also wanna see the show start to focus a little more on some of the other characters (McGee, Ducky, Abby) because they were kinda sidelined to make room for the Ziva/Tony thing. And generally Gibbsness. Oh well. Always a good show. - NCIS: Los Angeles - I'm just gonna check out the first few episodes and see if I like it. I'm not usually a fan of spinoffs (even though NCIS is a spinoff itself. But I never watch JAG so it doesn't matter) but this has Chris O'Donnell and I do miss him from Grey's Anatomy so I don't know. I think it will become like Private Practice and just be a show I watch whenever it's on. Or when there's a crossover episode

- V - FIRST NEW SHOW!! WOOO!! One of the three that I'm really looking forward too. Everyone's excited about it because it's got some chick in it from Lost. I'm excited about it because it's got Morena Baccarin (what a made as name) from Firefly in it
But it looks interesting and I'm curious about them aliens.
WEDNESDAY:
- Criminal Minds - I think this is one of the most under-appreciated shows ever. And it is one of my favourite shows ever. I can't wait for this season because I really wanna know what happened to Hotch!! And I don't know if they'll actually keep him because they've gotten rid of important characters in the past and it has worked! But I feel as though he'll be okay. My favourite thing about this show though is that they don't ignore any characters. Sure they have specific episodes for certain people but they share the spotlight around evenly
- Glee - This is the new show that I'm really looking forward to the most. I think it's also going to be the biggest new show of the year. Why? Because musicals are in. They are the bees knees. And this is why I was kind of apprehensive about this show. I was scared it would be too High School Musical but I watch the pilot and it wasn't and it had story and interesting characters and I can't wait! I'm also loving Jane Lynch's character. Absof*ckinglutely hilarious.
THURSDAY:
- Bones - Whilst I'll admit that last season was a little downfall for the show, I still loved it. Maybe the show has just fused with my brain like a parasite and now I'll never be able to think bad things about it. But still, the new season looks promising. Very promising

It has some very season 1/ season 2 qualities which make me scream!! (In delight. For the show.) - Grey's Anatomy - This show is part of my group of shows that I will watch forever and ever, no matter how crap they become. Not that I'm saying Grey's is crap. I'm just stating how important it is to me. Anyway, out of that group (Grey's, Bones, House, NCIS and Criminal Minds), grey's is my favourite. It is the whole reason I even started using tv.com. And... I just love it. And I love McDreamy. And him and Meredith are "married" and their wedding was perfect. Though I did prefer their engagement more
And Izzy is all fake-dying and George is all real-dying which is sad but his character really was going nowhere but still... it will be good to see how he leaves. - Supernatural - Supernatural is amazing. Because it's like... each episode is someone's nightmare. And it comes to life. Only with two really hot guys. And a really hot car. And there's just a lot of general hotness going on. Plus Lucifer is has risen and he's from hell so he must be pretty hot too (temperature wise. Though I hope they get a hot actor to portray a hot demon. Because then there would be even more hotness). However, the show is amazing in the best thing about the show is not the hotness. It's the story lines and everything. Though, I must admit that I do miss some of that old school, season 1ish, general huntin'. But still... hot Lucifer. Tell your friends.
- The Office - THERE'S GONNA BE A BABY!!! Maybe. Hopefully. They didn't technically mention a baby at all last season. For all we know, Jim and Pam could have been getting really excited over them discovering that she has a kidney stones or something. But regardless for me BIG LOVE for Jam, I really really wanna see my Dwight. And Andy. And Michael. And Holly and Michael must get back together. Or I will cry. So there.
- Flash Forward - I wasn't sure whether I wanted to watch this new show but a few of the promos got me hooked. It looks interesting and I'm more looking forward to finding out about what happens to each character in the future!! *oooooohhh*. I didn't see a lot about the characters though which is always my favourite part about shows so I hope it will be as good as I want it to be. It also makes me wonder what I would see if I saw the future.
- 30 Rock - Firstly, I need to catch up with this show. Secondly... it's just awesome. And I love it. All the characters are so funny and I love what the show is actually about. Because all of us here are TV fans so a show about the people who make one is pretty frikkin' awesome. I haven't seen the latest season so I don't really know what's happened to the characters but that doesn't bother me too much because this show is more about the comedy. Which I love.
FRIDAY:
- Dollhouse - For me, this is like another new show. I've never seen it before so yeah. I'm going to watch the first season as soon as I finish True Blood. However, I think I'm really going to like this show, purely because I've psyched myself into wanting to love this show so much that when I actually watch it, I'll already love it. Also, Eliza De... something is pretty awesome. From what I've seen from her.
SATURDAY:
- Nothing!!
Nothing is definitely my favourite show ever. I love it. And it's hilarious. The characters are amazing and they all have great story lines and no one ever gets pushed to the side lines. It incorporates just the right amounts of drama and action and comedy as well as just a little bit of scifi to make it perfect. How many other people love Nothing?? Hehehehe.
SUNDAY:
- Dexter - Dexter looks like a monkey. *makes monkey sounds* But he's a hot monkey who I would do so it's okay. He's like my hero only I wouldn't kill people... like him. I would do it my own way. Heheh. Not really. I would just call him up and make him do it for me. Not really. Anyway, I've seen the new episode of the season because it got leaked but that's cool and it was really awesome. I was originally a little scared that the show was slowly going to decline the more... humane? That Dexter got. But this season looks really promising. And there was a baby. And it was rather fat. And called Harrison. I only realised a few days ago that the baby was named after Harry. I'm smart, aren't I
And I know Dexter will be okay from that accident but I'm curious as to how that story will play out. Does he have cut up body parts in his trunk? Is he driving on a strange road that will make all the other characters question as to why he was driving down that road? Etc, etc, etc. And Dudes, John Lithgows character looks amazing and awesome and bathtastic!! I applaud the creepiness. - Californication - I also need to catch up on this show. Though I do know that Lew Ashby died which is sad and makes me cry because he was awesomesauce. And yeah. I will probably end up watching this show when I have nothing else to watch again though because... I don't know why. I just will. But I love Hank so... I should watch it more often. And... I don't know who I ship in this show. I'm so confused right now. I need to sleep.
WEB SERIES:
- The Guild - The Guild is one of my favourite shows ever. I started watching it because Felicia Day from Dr. Horrible was in it. And then I realised that I was amazing. And almost as cool as Dr. Horrible. It is so amazing. For those of you who don't know, The Guild is a show about a group of online gamers who end up meeting in real life and stuff. It is soooo hilarious. The first episode of season 3 just premiered on Tuesday and it was amazing because Zaboo is with Tall Hot Girl (I mean Riley) now and Codex is kinda jealous and there's conflict between Vork and Clara and Tink and Bladezz. However, only people who watch The Guild will truely understand what I'm talking about. Also, loved Do You Wanna Date My Avatar. Best. Song. Ever. Link
- Legend of Neil - Heheh I started watching Legend of Neil because Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo from The Guild) was in it and I found out that it too was amazing. Basically it's about this guy (Neil) who somehow magically gets transported into a game of Zelda. The show is created by Sandeep but unfortunately he doesn't star. However, Felicia Day does and her character (the obsessed fairy) is utterly amazing and a real difference from her usual characters. The last episode was the musical one which was hilarious and I really wish it would hurry up and continue. I need to know that Neil saves the obsessed fairy and that he continues through the quest, guided by Old Man (he said Old Man
). Link - Private High Musical - It's a youtube series parody of High School Musical and is absolutely hilarious. All they sing about is sex and drugs. Ehehhe. It stars Taryn Southern as a nerdy new girl who has never had sex and gets her period on her first day (Gabriella). And then some other dude on the basketball team (Troy I think...) has herpes and thinks his sister is hot... and then the chick who represents Gabriella gets high with some dude and they do hilarious dance moves and there's a girl in a dumpster and they see random things like an old lady... I think. Unfortunately there are only 5 episodes, including the special episode Sex... 1, 2, 3. However fortunately, when I twittered something about it, Taryn Southerland tweeted back. And I was happy. So... yeah. Link
And that is all my TVness at the moment. Obviously I'm finishing True Blood and I'll be watching Chuck when it returns as well as catching up on a heap of shows and beginning to watch a heap of shows (Buffy and Angel are first on my list) but yeah. I love TV... ![]()
Well that was longer than what I thought it would be but I am going now to....
I don't know what I'm going to do.
Probably play some ninja ropes.
Because it is dope ![]()
Night everyone.
Stay fab you kebab!
(These are one of my favourite foods in the world. I've just decided I'm having one tomorrow for lunch.)
Comments
Let's see, we have Bones, NCIS: LA and Castle in common. I haven't seen the Castle finale yet, but it's on this weekend and I'd rather watch it in HD than on my computer.
I'm more of a crime show guy, so I'm looking forwards to shows like Numb3rs, The Mentalist, CSI: NY, Cold Case and a Canadian comedy called Little Mosque on the Prairie. Oh, and football season!!! That was copied from Daria's blog because I don't like to retype things!
So true - I have often laughed at the fact that it seemed torturous to come up with 500 words for an essay and 2000 is easy when writing to an online friend.
Ninja Ropes are proper dope
Have a good week Jess
I didn't care much for volume 4 of Heroes and I think I'll care ever less for volume 5 but you never know and after how much I adored volume 3 I won't give up this early. Besides which despite the slip in quality there's always something I'm at least semi-interested to actually see unfold. Though I hate Ali Larter and want her gone not to mention I think this Sylathan thing may be the biggest mistake the show ever makes but that more depends on which direction they actually take it in and my personnel love of Zachary Quinto aka Sylar.
I must say though I think I'm going to be very pleased with House this year, especially after the waste that was season 4 and the semi-weirdness that was most of season 4. I think the show will finally get back to the better quality years of seasons 1-3.
HIMYM is one show that as much as I love it usually conflicts so I don't always keep up with but I always try and I love Marsh/Lil, the idea of Barney/Robin no matter how it goes has always been so appealing to me so it'll be so fantastic to watch them together and who doesn't want to know who the mother is? Though I get why they won't do it till the series finale because honestly once we know it'll be nice but an appropriate series end.
Long before musicals were "in" I tried to convince people how fantastic they were but nooo not until the high school musical nonsense did anyone listen? Still whatever it takes I guess. Like you I was concerned that the show would be high musical the series but other then a few slight character similarities it isn't and they are very small things that was dissipate as the show moves into it's actual stories. I adore the fact that they basically type cast every character into these really boxed ideas of who they should be. If the show lives up to it's original idea the whole point is going to be scratch the surface of all the main characters and you'll find so much more, so many different things, etc. As a real life type cast in high school I can tell you the reactions a lot of these are having to being out cast, different, or swimming against their friends are the exact reactions most kids have. You know looking back though season 4 wasn't the most even quality wise and some episodes were a little boring it wasn't the train wreck I originally thought it to be. Except maybe the finale. But season 5 looks fantastic. I think season 4 was really just growing pains, it happens to even the best of shows and I think season 5 will really be the year they correct all the little things that needed work. Filling out the supporting cast and developing them better with more screen time, Booth and Bones actually moving towards somethings even if it still takes awhile and all the other minor things.
Oh come on it's a baby! All the fans are like it might not be but come on it couldn't be anything else. Not possible.
And wow long, sorry!
I just realized I don't need to comment on everything, so I'll just read and enjoy your blog LOL. LOL@Nothing. I love that show too!! Private High Musical sounds hilarious. I might check that out. Yummy kebab!! I need to find me some kebab. Awesome blog.
I'm excited for V too. And I hope Glee will continue to be cool.
