Hi everyone,
This might not mean much to anyone but I've finally completed the Forest Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I've had the game since April 2008 on Virtual console and I've been stuck in the fourth dungeon for a long, long time. Yesterday I finally cleared it though and I can now enjoy the rest of the game.
Has anyone else had similar experiences where they just can't seem to get any further in a game?

I too thought the Forest Temple was quite easy, but good for you friend. I too have struggled on that game quite a bit, but the one tenple that I simply HAD to use a guide for was The Water Temple! Just wait till you get there, you'll see what I mean

good on you! yes...zelda can be frustrating...but i dont remember it well coz my N64 broke wehn i was 6!

The forest temple seems easy now, but I seem to remember it being a really big jump in difficulty from the first three dungeons.

It has happened to me quite a few times! Especially in the Tomb Raider games.

I remember the first time I played through the Forest Temple and I was stuck for a while, but not for that long. The Water Temple also gave me some trouble on my first playthrough.

To be had, the only thing the forest temple got me on was the ghosts, but that really was just a matter of figuring out what to do during each path. The Water Temple is still regarded as one of the most hated dungeons in the game, mainly for the fact that you have to traverse the entire labyrinth of a dungeon utilizing the water control. There are so many over-lookable parts there that it could take a while for first try.

Had the same problem recently. Finished the Forest Temple and Fire Temple, and the side quest that would lead me to the Water Temple... all on the same day

Everyone here keeps bragging how frustrating the Water Temple is. I love it, my all-time fave dungeon from OOT (I can't wait to try it out on Master Quest 
)

The Forest Temple was pretty hard, but not as hard as the Water Temple.

That's happened to me, like, literally a hundred times now . (Gettings stuck in games, not OoT, although I do believe I am at that point in OoT).

Wait until you get to the Water Temple. I am proud to say I finished it without a guide but it did take me longer than the other dungeons.

Congratulations! Yeah the Forest Temple was really hard for me to complete back when I was 11 years old when I first played it. It could be quite confusing sometimes. Hell, the Water Temple STILL confuses me sometimes even after me having beaten the game at least 20 times by now. It happens.
I found myself stuck in Blue Dragon for a year and I got pretty stuck in Morrowind for a while too. It's normal.
