GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

I have noticed that pretty much semi to highly anticipated games; especially from big name publisher; which will get less than stellar reviews, get their reviews posted with a few days delay. I have noticed this since the incident leading to the great reviewer's exodus from GameSpot. So now if I am looking for a game's review and it gets delayed, I get the confirmation that it will pretty much suck. Example Mercenaries 2 (I would say it was an anticipated game) review was delayed 4 days after release, score 5/10. Alone in the dark, review delayed 3 days score 6.5/10. The new Sonic: Dark Brotherhood, I was waiting to see what will Bioware; my all time favorite RPG dev; will come up with. Looking at other reviews IGN 6.5/10 Gamespy 7/10 so not the greatest numbers. Sonic came out September 30, and 9 days later no review yet. On the other hand games like GTA 4 the review was release the same day of game release, even a day before the day of release according to the date of the review, GTA4 got a perfect 10/10. Crysis reviewed same day of release score 9.5/10. Delaying the reviews for anticipated game with so so scores only serve purpose of making us; their loyal readers; who have been waiting to get our hands on these games to take the plunge, and fork the 30 or 50 bucks blindly on an undeserving game. This defeats the whole purpose of a review site, as if they are the only source of information on the web.
