Yesterday I was reading old threads and I came across one on the supernatural board that mentioned the movie DeVour starring Jensen Ackles. I had never heard of said movie and naturally, since it starred Mr. Ackles, I was curious.
So this morning I searched out some reviews to see if it would be worth watching, and while most of them said it wouldn't be, I was STILL curious, so I gave it a go on a youtube search, and luckily (b/c I would've hated to actually leave my house and go rent it) some wonderful person had uploaded it.
After reading reviews, I went into it with pretty low expectations, thinking that it would probably be laughable. I even remarked to myself as it loaded that 'this is gonna be hilarious'. But I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw.
Okay, so the ending was really kind of lame, and the whole thing was weird, but I liked it. It could've been better, but it was filmed really well, the acting was good, and it was creepy as it should've been. The first time Jensen said a big curse word it kind of took me by surprise and sounded kind of forced, and the monster definately wasn't straight out of Pan's Labrynth, but there was one scene in which a knife and a tongue were involved and I had to cover the screen, but I won't go into detail on that one...
Although the story could have been better told, it captivated me and I was interested in trying to figure out what the heck was going on. In a lot of reviews I read, people were saying that it didn't make any sense, but if you pay close attention it really does.
What I'm trying to say is that it wasn't a complete waste of time. Besides, there's nothing like a good satantic movie first thing in the morning (j/k).
.
So if you do decided to watch it, I think you should go in with low expectations as I did, that way you can make your own assumptions.

But I loved it overall.
But in general the movie had a good story, but it ended short!
