Just my random yammering about random things.

...Since I last posted on my blog. As for what I posted last year, I forgot the fact that I live in Erie County, NY, the same county as Buffalo, a city with dwindling population and a football team that almost isn't fit for the NFL.

As for my Union, I'm just glad it's not MIA or AWOL yet. However, I'm thinking of not continuing it because of lack of activity. My union may share the same fate as the TV Union which used to be another Mythbusters Union.

If you haven't heard of it, you must live in a cave. It has been all over the news, and is probably all over GS.

I am in, unfortunately, in one of the hardest-hit towns: Amherst.

It all started Thursday afternoon at 2:00 pm when lake effect snow started to fall around my school. I was in the middle of a presentation of Native American culture. It was my mom's 50 th birthday. I was glad that I was going to go home soon. As I rode the bus home, I saw the snow start to stick.

When I got home, I played Runescape until my Internet connection went out. My friend was on, but I later found out that his power went out while he was playing. After dinner, I could not help but get distracted by the snow falling. It is unusual for WNY to get so much snowfall this early. I thought that I might not go to school tomorrow. Right before I hit the hay, I looked outside and saw trees losing limbs to the weight of the heavy snow. Most of the trees had leaves, but that didn't matter...

I woke up early in the morning to the sight of a blank alarm clock. There was an occasional clap of thunder and it was still snowing. The trees on my street, even the ones without leaves, were losing limbs at an alarming rate.

When the sun rose, I looked at our back yard to see a wire snapped. It wasn't the power, but a dead phone line.

We did not do much on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was eventful.

When I woke up, I heard my mom talking on the phone about a generator that my dad was going to get from their friends who had power. He was also going to get a space heater from his office. This was really good news because the food in the fridge was going stale, the pump in the basement was getting really annoying to bail out, and it was getting cold.

The bad thing is that the generator wasn't working right. It would stop for reasons we did not know. My dad was fed up with his co-workers who couldn't seem to grasp the situation.

I found out that my school was closed for the whole entire week.

We were sitting in the dark when we heard this loud zap. The power was back on! My mom, who was bailing the pump in the basement, was startled by the pump working. We blew out all of the candles and turned lights on and then off again just because we could.

Right now, there is still a driving ban and a water boiling advisory
for where we live. George W. Bush has given us aid (does this mean he has a brain?) but not enough (guess not.)
I took some pictures, but they still need to be developed.

I have yet another story that proves dell and microsoft suck. Just a few minutes ago. I was surfing the web while listening to music. All of a sudden, the music skipped. What did I do? I swiched to the task manager, which was open from the first second I was on because my PC is a snail.  Opening the task manager usually solves the skipping problem, but this time it didn't. In fact, according to the task manager, the task manager itself was not responding! After it started to run again, it said that both Limewire and Firefox were not responding. Limewire went back to normal, but I had to restart Firefox, all thanks to dell putting minimal RAM in its PC and the instabilty of Windows XP.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like peregrine93.
peregrine93 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could peregrine93 possibly have for not rating a single film?
