Favorite episode of the season so far. I may be biased however, as I love Desmond. But still, it was an amazing episode.

SO....SPOILERS if you haven't watched the episode yet...

********************

********************

I love time travel. That is probably a huge reason why I love the Desmond character. NOT the only reason, but one of them. So this episode was great in that it really gave us some more insight on how his flashes are working. Daniel Farraday is obviously experiencing the same thing, as at the end of the episode we find he had earlier written (and now just discovered this) that Desmond would be HIS constant - someone that is in the present time and his past/future. Now I saw past/future because isn't it possible Daniel is flashing to the island from the future, or vice versa? Doesn't have to be the past, as in Desmond's case. Hrmmm...i can't wait for some flashbacks or flashforwards from some of the freighter people, if that will happen.

Although if you KNOW it will happen - don't tell me!! I hate hearing spoliers from FUTURE episodes. I mean, guesses are fine, but when you KNOW something I can't stand to hear it.

Anyway, back to The Constant after that mini rant on my pet peeve...(not that anyone reads this blog anyway!!!)...we started out thinking or being led to believe that the people from the freighter now on the island were somehow in charge. It seems obvious this is not the case. There is some sort of boss - the captain maybe? - that we haven't seen and hopefully will shed light on what is happening. But the way Frank is being bossed around by the men on the freigher, or the way Frank scolded Daniel about hanging up right away if Minkowski answered (in a previous episode) lets us know that there are some issues with these people. They are either not all on the same team or there is dissention.

So what will follow from this? Will we see Penny soon in a rescue mission? Will Desmond be allowed to stay in the "real world" where Penny can find him or will he be sent back to the island? If he does go back to the island, will it trigger his "time jumps" again? How long before we see Ben's man on the boat? How long before we figure out exactly who wants Ben and for what purpose? Will any (or all) of the 'Freighter Four' remain on the island for good?

I'm sure I have a lot more questions, I'll post again if it feels worth it. But I cannot wait for next week - I really feel this so far is a more exciting season than the previous ones!

Wow... Seriously I love this show. This season is definitely better, so far, than last season. Starts quicker, more surprises, more excitement. I've actually heard complaints that people haven't liked the episodes so far in that "nothing has happened". Why are people so annoyed with this show when they don't get answers immediately? Why are people not enjoying the ride, and instead demand things to be completed so quickly? They wanted the Oceanic Six to be revealed in the first episode, for the "rescue" to happen right away, just ENJOY IT!!! There are only, how many now, 45 episodes left? Just have fun. Just enjoy it for what it is. Because when it is over, you won't be able to enjoy this feeling of wondering what will happen, guessing and theorizing on the answers, while still enjoying little revealing moments in the show. I for one relish it. But I know there are a lot of impatient people out there. Oh well...I can't wait for the next episode and want to know what people feel about the first three so far.

What is Minkowski's purpose - is he Ben's "man on the boat"?

Why have the Oceanic Six made this pact not to speak of the island?

Why is Sayid working for Ben off island - and do the other 5 know about this?

What about the 31 (or so) minutes difference in time between freighter and island?

Well these are just a few questions off the top of my head, if I thought for 10 minutes I'm sure I'd have 50 more.

What a great episode! It was well worth the wait of 8 months for new Lost.

SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***********************

So now we see Hurley being the first (we assume as of now) of the Oceanic Six to want to return to the island or at least right the wrong of the lies they have told. OF course we don't know everything because we still aren't sure who the other 3 are that have left the island. And then Hurley's vision of Charlie (was he real or does the Smoke Monster extend its power to California!?!), and Hurley's visitor from Oceanic (was he really a lawyer?). And then the island group being broken into two factions - Jack and Locke. Obviously they will meet up again, but why does Hurley say he is sorry for going with Locke? What happens because of this decision? I can't wait for the next episode...I have to leave now so I can watch this one again!

I think Dean Stockwell is awesome...I first remember seeing him in "Married To The Mob", and he was great in that as the mob boss. But I think in watching Quantum Leap is really started to like him more than Scott Bakula. He was obviously always...

penguinfish75 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could penguinfish75 possibly have for not rating a single film?
